The Samsung Galaxy S24 5G is the better fit if you want a compact phone with a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G gives you a larger, higher-resolution, faster-refreshing display and a higher-capacity battery on its published specifications. Those numbers do not establish which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in real use, and there is no reliable universal price difference: prices depend on region, seller and exact configuration.

The comparison below uses Samsung’s India listing for the 8 GB/128 GB Galaxy S24 and Motorola’s Rest of Europe specification page for the Edge 70 Pro. Motorola says specifications may vary by market, so verify the local model before buying.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S24 for a smaller, lighter body
The S24 is substantially narrower and lighter in the cited specifications: 70.6 mm wide and 167 g, compared with 75.6 mm and 183–190 g for the Edge 70 Pro, depending on finish. Its 6.2-inch-class screen is also the more compact option. That can make it easier to handle and carry, though individual comfort depends on hand size and case choice.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
Choose the Edge 70 Pro for a larger screen
Motorola lists a 6.8-inch display with a 2772 × 1272 resolution and refresh up to 144 Hz; Samsung lists a 6.2-inch-class FHD+ screen with refresh up to 120 Hz. The Motorola offers more screen area for video, reading and games. A higher refresh-rate figure alone does not prove better image quality or a smoother experience in every app.
Choose based on the camera hardware you need
Samsung lists a dedicated 10 MP camera with 3x optical zoom alongside its 50 MP and 12 MP rear cameras. Motorola’s listed rear system has a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50 MP ultrawide. The distinction is useful if you regularly frame distant subjects versus wide scenes, but megapixel counts and lens specifications cannot tell you which phone produces better photos. No comparable independent image-quality test is established here.

- US Model. Compatible with Most GSM and CDMA Carriers like T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS, etc. Will Also work with CDMA Carriers Such as Verizon, Straight Talk.
Video specifications also differ: Samsung lists 8K recording at 30 fps, while Motorola lists 4K HDR10+ capture up to 60 fps. The maximum format is not by itself a measure of stabilization, low-light quality or overall video results.

Consider battery capacity, not just the headline number
Samsung lists 4000 mAh typical capacity; Motorola lists 6500 mAh and wired charging up to 90 W. These are manufacturer specifications, not controlled battery-life or charging-time measurements. Screen size, network conditions, software and usage affect runtime, so the figures do not prove how many hours either phone will last for you. Samsung’s cited page does not state a charging wattage.

What is the price difference?
There is no dependable, like-for-like price difference established for all markets. A Gadgets Now comparison listing showed India offer-price snapshots of ₹42,580 for the Edge 70 Pro and ₹59,999 for the Galaxy S24. The configurations shown differ, and the figures are volatile listing prices rather than verified current quotes. Treat them only as a snapshot, not as a current universal price or a fair comparison between equivalent models. View the comparison listing.
For a useful local comparison, check the same country and purchase date, then match storage, RAM, new or refurbished condition, warranty, seller and whether each figure is a sale price or regular price. The cited Samsung India page is for an 8 GB/128 GB model; Motorola’s Rest of Europe page lists 256 GB models with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM. Those are not automatically equivalent configurations.

Regional details to verify before buying
- Exact model and network support: Regional variants can differ, including network bands. Check the manufacturer’s listing for the SKU sold in your country and confirm compatibility with your carrier.
- Included charger: Samsung India says the Galaxy S24 package does not include a travel adapter and that box contents may vary by region. Check the Motorola package contents locally rather than assuming a charger is included.
- Finish and body specifications: Motorola lists different weights by finish: 183 g for silk and 190 g for acetate. Confirm which finish the retailer is selling.
- Warranty and returns: Check that the seller’s warranty applies in your country, especially if considering an imported regional model.
Which one should you buy?
Pick the Galaxy S24 if compact dimensions, lower listed weight and a dedicated 3x optical zoom camera matter most. Pick the Edge 70 Pro if you prefer a larger display, higher listed battery capacity, 90 W wired charging or a 50 MP ultrawide. For camera quality, endurance or overall value, published specifications alone cannot name a winner; compare current local prices for matching configurations and look for independent tests relevant to your priorities.
