The Galaxy S23 is the smaller, lighter phone, while the Galaxy S23 FE offers a larger display and higher listed battery capacity. The FE’s processor depends on the market, and the available launch prices are from different countries and years, so they do not establish which phone costs less today.

Choose based on whether you value a smaller phone or more screen area; the specification figures do not establish how either phone feels in every hand.

Are the processor and performance the same across regions?
No. Samsung lists the S23 FE with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on its Canadian support page and Exynos 2200 on its Gulf product page. Check the exact model code and the market where the phone is sold rather than assuming every S23 FE has the same processor. Regional model codes, storage configurations, supported network bands, availability and software rollouts can also differ.
The cited S23 specification identifies Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. These processor names describe hardware, but the available specifications do not provide a like-for-like benchmark test. They are not enough to quantify how much faster one phone is in real use.
#1 Best Overall
- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
How do the camera systems differ?
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The S23’s telephoto camera is listed at 10 MP; the S23 FE’s is 8 MP. Megapixel counts describe resolution, not overall photo quality, and these specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better pictures.
Does the S23 FE last longer on a charge?
The cited typical battery capacities are 4,500 mAh for the S23 FE and 3,900 mAh for the S23. Capacity alone does not determine real-world battery life: these figures do not show how long either phone lasts for a particular user or under matching test conditions.
