For a screen protector that fits the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, start with products explicitly listed for that model—not a generic Galaxy S23 listing—and treat fingerprint compatibility as a claim to verify for the exact protector. Samsung’s EF-US918CTEGWW film and Spigen’s Glas.tR Platinum glass kit are two model-specific options, but neither has an independent performance comparison established here.
Two model-specific options to compare
| Protector | Type and fit | Fingerprint and touch claim | Application details | Availability evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung EF-US918CTEGWW | Transparent film; Samsung lists it for Galaxy S23 Ultra. | Samsung says it supports fingerprint recognition and touch sensitivity. This is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent test. | Samsung says the package includes two front film sheets and an installation applicator. Its support instructions also describe using a squeegee. | Samsung Africa marks its listing “Not for sale.” That regional status does not establish availability elsewhere. Samsung product listing |
| Spigen Glas.tR Platinum | Tempered glass; Spigen’s listing names Galaxy S23 Ultra. | Spigen claims compatibility with the phone’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. This is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test. | The product is identified as a tray kit. Check the current listing for the exact package contents. | Current stock is not established here. Spigen product listing |
The S23 Ultra uses an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, according to Samsung’s device specifications. A compatibility claim for one film or glass product should not be generalized to every protector of that type.

Choose film or tempered glass by your priorities
Film
Samsung’s film is the clearly documented option if you want an accessory listed by the phone maker for this exact model, with two sheets and an alignment applicator specified in the package. Samsung claims fingerprint and touch support, but that does not guarantee the result on every phone or after every installation. Film and glass can feel different under a finger; consider the surface feel and edge coverage shown in the product listing.

Tempered glass
Spigen’s Glas.tR Platinum is a model-specific glass option with a tray kit and a stated ultrasonic-scanner compatibility claim. Confirm the contents and installation steps in the current regional listing. The available evidence does not establish that this glass protector performs better than film, or that glass protectors generally offer a particular drop outcome.

Check fit, fingerprint access, and case clearance before buying
- Match the exact phone: Look for “Galaxy S23 Ultra” in the compatibility details. “Galaxy S23” alone is not enough to establish a fit for the Ultra.
- Assess fingerprint support for the exact product: The S23 Ultra’s reader is ultrasonic, but performance depends on the particular protector and installation. Manufacturer claims are not independent verification.
- Check case compatibility: A protector that fits the phone may still conflict with a particular case at the edges. The sources here do not establish compatibility for every case-and-protector combination.
- Compare practical terms: Review coverage and edge design, installation method, number of protectors included, return or replacement terms, and the current price in your country.
Install carefully and follow the product’s guide
- Use the instructions supplied with the exact protector. Clean the screen thoroughly before applying it; dust beneath the protector can interfere with a neat fit.
- Align the film with its applicator or the glass with its tray, if supplied. Samsung says its film package includes an installation frame intended to help with alignment and bubbles; this is a product claim, not a guaranteed result.
- Use the supplied squeegee to press out bubbles where the kit includes one. Samsung’s support guidance explains squeegee use for its film.
- If applying Samsung’s film leaves a line, Samsung says it may disappear over time. See Samsung’s screen-protector application instructions.
Confirm local stock before settling on a model
Availability depends on country and can change. Samsung Africa currently labels the EF-US918CTEGWW listing “Not for sale”; that says nothing definitive about Samsung stock in other regions. Check the exact model number and current availability with a seller in your country, and verify that any third-party listing is for the S23 Ultra version.
