Samsung India announced a price of INR 79,999 for the S26 FE with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It also listed launch promotions, including an exchange upgrade bonus of up to INR 8,000; the offer is conditional, may change and should not be treated as a guaranteed value for an S23 Ultra. TechRadar reported these S26 FE launch prices for other markets. They are launch figures, not current retailer quotes:

Why there is no single S23 Ultra vs S26 FE price difference
A useful price difference needs a market and a matching basis. Compare the same country and currency, storage capacity, seller, network status and condition—new against new, or used/refurbished against used/refurbished—and check both prices on the same date. A launch price for one phone cannot fairly be subtracted from a used listing for the other.
The evidence here does not establish a current S23 Ultra price. Samsung’s US S23 Ultra product route redirected to its general Galaxy page, which does not establish either current stock or a price. No universal price gap can therefore be calculated from the verified S26 FE figures above.

Keep trade-in calculations separate from outright prices. Samsung India’s advertised “up to INR 8,000” was an exchange upgrade bonus at S26 FE launch, not a valuation that every S23 Ultra owner would receive. Samsung UK describes an instant discount for trading in an old device, but does not establish a universal S23 Ultra value. - Display: compare resolution, refresh rate, brightness and panel characteristics—not size alone.
- Cameras: check the lens roles, optical zoom, stabilization and supported video modes. Megapixels are not a measure of overall image quality.
- Performance: verify the S23 Ultra’s regional chipset and compare supported configurations; no benchmark evidence here establishes which phone is faster.
- Battery: distinguish rated capacity from typical capacity and compare charging specifications on the same basis.
- Support: compare each phone’s confirmed update commitment and launch software separately.
- Total cost: use current prices for matching storage and condition, then account for any verified trade-in separately.
