The Samsung Galaxy S23 5G is the more compact option with the higher-tier chipset listed in the comparison; the India-market OPPO Reno16 5G offers twice the listed storage, a larger display, higher listed battery capacity and faster wired charging. A marketplace snapshot showed the S23 ₹14,000 cheaper, but it compared 128GB with 256GB, so it is not a like-for-like price comparison. Reno16 details below are for India model CPH2865; regional Reno16 variants may differ.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S23 for a smaller phone and its listed chipset tier
The S23 has the smaller listed display, at 6.1 inches, compared with the Reno16’s 6.32 inches. The comparison lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the S23 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for the Reno16. That identifies their specified chipsets, but does not establish a measured real-world performance gap; benchmark claims require a verified test and methodology.

The comparison lists 256GB for the Reno16 and 128GB for the S23. OPPO’s India configurations pair 256GB storage with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. OPPO says the India model does not support storage-card expansion, so decide whether 256GB is enough for your use before buying.

- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
Compare camera hardware, not just megapixel counts
Both phones are listed with a 50MP main rear camera. The comparison gives the Reno16 higher megapixel counts for its ultrawide and telephoto cameras and lists telephoto zoom up to 3.5x, versus up to 3x on the S23. OPPO confirms the Reno16 telephoto camera and its 50MP front camera. These specifications alone do not establish which phone produces better photos or video.
Prioritize the Reno16 if capacity and charging rate matter
The S23 is listed with a 3900mAh battery and 25W wired charging. OPPO specifies the Reno16 at 6700mAh typical capacity (6490mAh rated) and 80W SUPERVOOC. Those figures describe capacity and charging specifications; they do not predict an individual user’s runtime or charging experience.

How much more does the Reno16 cost?
The comparison page displayed Amazon prices of ₹52,999 for a 128GB Galaxy S23 5G and ₹66,999 for a 256GB Reno16 5G, making the listed S23 ₹14,000 cheaper. Because the storage configurations differ and marketplace prices can change, treat this as a dated snapshot rather than a current or like-for-like offer.
