This is an India-focused comparison: the S21 FE details below are its India launch specifications, while the X300 FE details come from vivo’s India product and store listings. The phones are from different generations, so this is not a like-for-like comparison of two contemporaneous launches.

These are manufacturer specifications or listing details, not results from a controlled head-to-head test. Battery capacity does not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use, and megapixel counts alone do not determine which camera takes better photos. For a purchase outside India, verify the exact model code, network bands, software and memory configuration for your market.
How the displays and performance differ
Display size and sharpness
The X300 FE has the smaller listed diagonal—6.31 inches versus 6.4 inches—but the higher listed resolution: 2640 × 1216 against 2340 × 1080. Both are specified at 120Hz. The numbers point to a more compact, higher-resolution panel on the vivo, not a guarantee that every viewer will prefer its screen; brightness, calibration and viewing conditions are not established in these specifications.

The India S21 FE launch configuration uses the Exynos 2100, while vivo lists the X300 FE with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. These chipset names and manufacturing-node figures identify a substantial generation gap, but they are not a substitute for comparable testing of performance, heat or efficiency. A third-party comparison page displays benchmark figures, but without established protocol, software build and test conditions, those numbers should not be treated as definitive evidence of a real-world winner.
Battery, charging and durability
The X300 FE’s listed 6500mAh typical capacity is notably larger than the S21 FE’s 4500mAh figure, and its stated wired charging ceiling is 90W rather than 25W. The vivo India listing also gives a 6350mAh minimum/rated capacity and says charging power varies with conditions; 90W requires the original charger and cable. These specifications favor the X300 FE on paper, but they do not establish actual battery runtime or charging time in a particular use case.

For wireless charging, Samsung’s launch specification lists wireless fast charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare. The cited vivo India specification lists wired FlashCharge, not a wireless-charging feature, so do not assume the X300 FE offers wireless charging based on this comparison.

Camera hardware: what can and cannot be concluded
The X300 FE listing specifies two 50MP rear cameras—main and telephoto, both with OIS—plus an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 50MP autofocus front camera. Samsung’s India launch specification lists a 12MP wide, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto rear setup, with OIS on the wide and telephoto cameras, plus a 32MP front camera.
This establishes a difference in the listed sensor resolutions and camera arrangement, not overall image quality. The specifications do not provide comparable photo samples or controlled tests of autofocus, low-light results, video or color processing, so choosing on megapixel counts alone would overstate what the evidence shows.

India price difference: compare the exact variant and date
There is no single stable price gap established by the available listings. The figures below refer to different markets, dates and price contexts; they should not be subtracted as if they were simultaneous, equivalent offers.

The ₹49,999 S21 FE introductory offer and the ₹94,999 vivo store listing differ by ₹45,000, but that arithmetic is not a like-for-like current price difference: one is a 2022 launch offer for the 8GB/128GB Samsung, while the other is a store listing for the 12GB/256GB vivo. Check the seller’s live price, selected storage, card conditions and stock before deciding what the gap is today.
Which one makes more sense?
Choose by specifications if you want newer hardware
The X300 FE is the stronger on-paper fit if you prioritize a newer chipset, a larger listed battery, faster wired charging, a higher-resolution display and newer listed software. Its India store offers multiple memory configurations, so compare the exact capacity and price rather than assuming every X300 FE listing refers to the same model.
Assess the S21 FE as an older-phone purchase
The S21 FE’s published launch prices are historical, and the cited material does not establish a current Samsung price, remaining support period or present-day software status. Before buying one now, verify the seller’s exact unit, condition, warranty, software-update eligibility and current price independently. The launch-era specifications alone cannot establish whether a particular used or remaining-stock unit is a good value.
Check regional details before ordering
vivo’s India listings specify Android 16/OriginOS 6 and the India configurations above. A separate Singapore specification page describes box contents—including a charger, cable, case, eject tool and pre-applied film—for that region only; those accessories are not guaranteed in an India or other-market box. Also allow for usable storage to be lower than nominal capacity because the operating system and preinstalled apps take space.
