What the specification differences mean
The S25 FE is larger, while the S21 FE is more compact
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch screen for the S25 FE and a 6.4-inch screen for the S21 FE. That makes the older model the more compact option on the display-size figures available here. Choose based on how you prefer to hold and use a phone; the specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better.

The cited S21 FE India model uses an Exynos 2100, whereas Samsung lists an Exynos 2400 (4nm) for the S25 FE. The S25 FE’s main rear camera is listed at 50MP with optical image stabilization, compared with the S21 FE’s 12MP wide camera in Samsung India’s announcement. Those numbers describe hardware, not real-world speed or photo quality: the available sources do not provide a controlled performance or camera comparison.

The cited S21 FE India announcement lists a 32MP front camera, compared with 12MP for the S25 FE. Megapixels alone do not show which phone takes better selfies, so use a direct, comparable camera test if selfie quality is a deciding factor.
Battery capacity and charging ratings both increase
Samsung gives the S25 FE a 4,900mAh typical battery capacity and the S21 FE 4,500mAh. The S25 FE is rated for up to 45W wired charging, versus 25W for the S21 FE. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish everyday battery life or charging time; the cited sources include no comparable runtime test. Samsung says the S25 FE’s 45W adapter is sold separately.

The S25 FE has a longer stated support commitment
Samsung says the S25 FE will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. Update timing can vary. The reviewed S21 FE launch pages do not establish how much support remains for that phone today, so do not infer its current end date from this comparison.

Consider the S25 FE if you want a new phone and longer stated support
The S25 FE is the more compelling fit if you want the larger screen, newer listed processor, faster wired charging or Samsung’s seven-year security-update commitment. Whether it is good value still depends on its actual price and availability where you live.

Consider keeping or choosing an S21 FE if its size and cost suit you
An S21 FE owner with a healthy battery who is satisfied with the smaller screen may reasonably compare the real upgrade cost against the benefits they would use. For a used or refurbished S21 FE, assess the specific phone’s condition, storage, regional processor variant and seller warranty rather than relying on the model name alone.
