Samsung has acknowledged that a next-generation Galaxy Ring is in development, but it has not announced a release date. An EtNews report relayed by Android Central says Samsung may skip 2026 and unveil the Galaxy Ring 2 in early 2027. That is a rumor, not a confirmed launch schedule.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 coming out?
The only reported timing is early 2027. Android Central, citing EtNews, says Samsung may skip a 2026 launch and could introduce the next ring during the first part of 2027. Samsung has not publicly confirmed that window, so it should not be treated as a reservation date, release commitment or shipping estimate.

Samsung Senior Vice President and Head of the Digital Health Team Hon Pak has reportedly confirmed that a next-generation ring is being developed. In the reported remarks, however, he gave no timetable and no final specification list.

Will the Galaxy Ring 2 work with iPhone?
iPhone support is not confirmed. Reports describe Pak responding to compatibility questions with a smile and saying that upcoming releases would please readers, but he did not announce iPhone support or identify a supported Apple setup.

What the current Galaxy Ring tells us
The first-generation Samsung Galaxy Ring is an available product and provides context, but it does not prove what Samsung will change in a successor. Samsung documents the current ring’s wellness and sleep features, Samsung Health integration and charging case.

Samsung’s 2025 Japan newsroom materials state battery claims of up to six days for sizes 5–11 and up to seven days for sizes 12–15. Those are Samsung test results under its stated usage assumptions; actual battery life varies by use and conditions. Samsung also announced an expansion to 11 sizes, covering sizes 5 through 15, and said the product would reach 53 markets at the time of that announcement. Those historical figures are not Galaxy Ring 2 specifications or a guarantee of current availability.

Buy now if
- You want a documented Samsung Health wearable rather than an unreleased product.
- You use a phone and account setup that Samsung officially supports for the current ring.
- You can accept the first generation’s features and do not need rumored improvements.
Wait if
- You specifically want possible advances in temperature, sleep or cardiovascular tracking.
- You are unwilling to buy before Samsung clarifies iPhone support.
- You can tolerate an unknown launch date, price and regional availability.
What to watch for next
- Samsung’s own announcement naming the product and launch date.
- A complete compatibility statement covering Android, Samsung accounts and any iPhone support.
- Official sensor, health-feature and battery specifications rather than leak summaries.
- Regional pricing, sizing and availability details.
Until those announcements arrive, early 2027 is best understood as a reported window, while every Galaxy Ring 2 feature remains provisional.
