Price difference: compare the same configuration
Samsung announced the M56 in India on 17 April 2025 at INR 24,999 for 8GB/128GB and INR 27,999 for 8GB/256GB, each amount including an INR 3,000 instant bank discount. These are dated introductory offers, not guaranteed current prices. Samsung’s product page currently indicates “not for sale,” and its dynamic price fields do not provide a readable current amount.

A retrieved 91mobiles marketplace snapshot showed the Edge 60 Fusion at INR 20,900 on Amazon India, but that is a volatile listing snapshot, not a verified quote for every configuration or seller. The comparison page also has inconsistent Samsung availability and price signals. Check the retailer listing on the day you buy, including the exact RAM/storage variant, seller, stock, delivery location and any bank-card condition. The fairest announced-spec comparison is Samsung’s 8GB/256GB configuration against Motorola’s 8GB/256GB version; do not use a lower price for a different tier as proof of better value.

Where the Galaxy M56 5G has the edge
Longer stated software support
Samsung promises six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the M56. Motorola’s India specifications state three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases for the Edge 60 Fusion. On those published commitments, Samsung offers the longer support horizon, which may matter if you expect to keep a phone for several years. The stated commitments do not specify that updates arrive on the same schedule.

Samsung’s display and camera specifications
The M56 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with 120Hz refresh and Samsung-listed 1200-nit High Brightness Mode. It also has a stated 50MP OIS triple rear camera and a 12MP HDR front camera, with 4K 30fps 10-bit HDR recording advertised by Samsung. These are configuration details, not independent findings about image quality, stabilization effectiveness or screen visibility in varied conditions.
Front-and-back glass protection
Samsung says Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects both the front and back of the M56. Samsung executive Akshay S. Rao described it at launch as the “toughest M series phone ever” and called it the slimmest phone in its segment; those superlatives are Samsung’s claims, not independent comparative findings.

Where the Edge 60 Fusion has the edge
Higher-resolution screen on paper
Motorola lists a 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED display at 2712×1220 and 120Hz, compared with Samsung’s 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ panel. Motorola therefore has the higher listed resolution. Panel technology, curved edges, brightness behavior and personal preference also affect the viewing experience, so resolution alone does not make it the universally better screen.
Larger battery and higher rated charging
Motorola lists 5,500mAh and 68W TurboPower charging; Samsung lists 5,000mAh and 45W charging, with its 45W charger sold separately. These capacities and wattages are not direct measures of how long a phone lasts or how long it takes to recharge. Actual results depend on usage and charging conditions, and no independently measured battery-life or charge-time result is established here.

More explicit resistance and expansion details
Motorola specifies IP68/69 water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification, along with Gorilla Glass 7i. Samsung specifies Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back. These describe different protection claims; they should not be combined into a single durability ranking or treated as a guarantee against all damage.

The Motorola India specification also lists 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage and microSD expansion up to 1TB. It includes dual physical SIM, USB-C 2.0, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6, and lists no NFC. Confirm that any feature you rely on is present in the exact regional variant you are buying.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy M56 5G if its live price for your required storage tier is competitive and you prioritize Samsung’s longer published software commitment, Super AMOLED+ or its stated camera configuration.
- Choose the Edge 60 Fusion if its same-tier price works for you and you prioritize the higher-resolution pOLED specification, larger battery capacity, higher rated charging, microSD expansion or its listed IP and MIL-STD protection credentials.
- Compare in person or look for independent testing if screen character, camera output, sustained performance or real-world battery life is decisive. The cited product specifications do not settle those experience-based questions.
Both phones have meaningful specification advantages, but the value decision depends on current prices for equivalent configurations. Verify the exact variant and seller before treating a price difference as a real saving.
