Galaxy M36: AMOLED and a stated 120Hz refresh rate
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel type and refresh-rate figure give shoppers a concrete reason to consider the M36 if those are priorities.

vivo T5x: slightly larger LCD
vivo lists a 6.76-inch LCD with a 2344 × 1080 resolution. The published specification does not state a refresh rate in the comparison information available here, so do not assume one from the phone’s other specifications.
On the stated display specifications, the M36 has the AMOLED and 120Hz advantages, while the T5x screen is marginally larger. These details alone do not establish brightness, outdoor readability, or which screen looks better in person.

Which phone has the better battery and charging?
The vivo T5x has the larger stated battery and higher advertised charging wattage: 7,200mAh and 44W, compared with the M36’s 5,000mAh and 25W. That makes the T5x the stronger choice on battery and charging specifications alone.
Capacity does not prove longer runtime, and advertised wattage does not establish real charging time. Actual results depend on usage and charging conditions; no comparable battery-life or charging test is established for these phones.

How do the cameras compare?
The M36 has a 50MP OIS triple-camera setup and a 13MP front camera. Samsung says it supports 4K recording from both front and rear cameras. The T5x pairs a 50MP Sony IMX852 rear camera with a 2MP bokeh camera and lists a 32MP front camera, with 4K video on both front and rear cameras.
These specifications describe different camera arrangements, not a photo-quality ranking. Megapixel counts do not by themselves determine detail, low-light performance, stabilization, or video quality. Without comparable sample photos and footage, there is no sound basis here to name an overall camera winner.

Which phone has the better software support?
Samsung’s 30 June 2025 India launch announcement explicitly promised the M36 six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. The phone launched with One UI 7. That stated support duration is a useful ownership consideration for buyers planning to keep a phone for several years.
vivo’s current official product page lists OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The available information does not establish a matching software-support duration for the T5x, so compare current commitments for the precise India-market unit before treating the two policies as equivalent.

What is the price difference in India?
The prices below refer to different dates and listing contexts, so they are not a same-day, like-for-like comparison. Samsung’s figures are introductory India launch prices announced on 30 June 2025; the 6GB/128GB offer included a ₹1,000 instant bank discount. The vivo figures are variant-specific prices displayed on official India store pages in 2026.

Durability claims are not directly comparable
Samsung touts Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the M36. vivo lists IP68 and IP69+ ratings and military-grade durability for the T5x. These are different manufacturer claims and describe different aspects of protection; they should not be treated as equivalent tests or proof that one phone is more durable overall.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M36 for its stated display features if Super AMOLED and a 120Hz refresh rate matter more to you than a larger listed battery.
- Choose the vivo T5x for its battery specification if you prioritize the higher stated capacity and charging wattage, while remembering that they do not guarantee longer runtime or shorter charging time.
- Consider the M36 for its explicit support promise if Samsung’s stated six Android upgrade generations and six years of security updates suit your expected ownership period.
- Do not choose a camera winner from the spec sheet alone. Compare photos and video from both phones under similar conditions if camera performance is decisive.
- Compare exact variants and live prices before purchase. The announced Samsung launch offers and displayed vivo prices above are not directly equivalent current quotes.
