The vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G puts more emphasis on endurance and charging, with a 6,500mAh battery, 44W FlashCharge and advertised IP65 dust and water resistance. Which is better depends on those priorities—and on the price of the exact RAM and storage variant you are comparing.

Which phone has the better display?
The vivo screen is listed as slightly larger, at 6.74 inches, and specifies a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung’s 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel is the more distinctive option if you prioritize AMOLED contrast. The vivo store lists its LCD resolution as 1600 × 720; the comparison source identifies Samsung’s panel as Super AMOLED but does not establish a refresh rate in the supplied specifications.

Battery and charging: vivo has the larger capacity
vivo lists a 6,500mAh battery and 44W FlashCharge, compared with the M36’s 5,000mAh battery and support for 25W charging. Those are manufacturer-listed capacity and charging specifications, not independent results for screen-on time or charging duration. Actual battery life varies with network conditions, display settings and use. The stated charging rates also do not establish whether a compatible charger is included in the box.

Camera differences: OIS is the M36’s standout feature
Samsung specifies a 50MP OIS-equipped triple rear camera. OIS can help compensate for small movements while taking photos or recording video, making it a meaningful hardware distinction. vivo lists a 50MP main camera, with its store listing identifying an additional low-resolution sensor. The front cameras are listed as 13MP for the M36 and 5MP for the T5 Lite, but megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality.

Update commitments
Samsung announced six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M36 in India in 2025. The two-year OS and four-year security figures for the T5 Lite come from a secondary comparison listing, not a formal vivo support statement cited here; check vivo’s current commitment before treating those figures as guaranteed.
Different kinds of protection
Samsung announced Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the M36. vivo advertises IP65 dust and water resistance for the T5 Lite. These describe different protections and are not interchangeable ratings or evidence that one phone is more durable in every situation.

Price difference in India: compare the same variant
At launch in 2025, Samsung announced introductory M36 prices of ₹16,499 for 6GB/128GB, including a ₹1,000 instant bank discount; ₹17,999 for 8GB/128GB; and ₹20,999 for 8GB/256GB. Samsung said availability would begin on July 12, 2025, through Samsung.com, Amazon and select retail stores. These are historical launch prices, not verified current offers (Samsung Newsroom India).

A third-party comparison page has shown different retailer prices across indexed versions, so its figures are not a reliable substitute for a live check. For a useful price comparison, compare the same RAM and storage tier at the same retailer and time. The available configurations do not match across every tier: Samsung lists an 8GB/256GB option, while vivo’s store lists 6GB/256GB.

- Choose the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G if Super AMOLED, OIS on the main camera, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection or Samsung’s stated software-support commitment matters most to you.
- Choose the vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G if its larger stated battery, faster stated charging, 120Hz LCD or advertised IP65 resistance better fits your needs.
- Decide on price only after checking the exact variant. Launch prices and a store’s displayed price are not a like-for-like snapshot of current retailer offers.
The chip names are Exynos 1380 and MediaTek Dimensity 6300, respectively. The cited material does not provide a sufficiently documented, comparable performance test to establish a reliable real-world speed winner.
