The Samsung Galaxy M36 is the stronger fit if you want a Super AMOLED screen, optical image stabilization (OIS) on the rear camera and a clearly stated long-term software-support commitment. The realme P4x is the better match if battery capacity, faster wired charging and a higher display refresh rate matter more. On 7 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed ₹21,999 for the M36 on Amazon and ₹22,999 for the P4x on Flipkart; those are dated marketplace listings, not fixed prices or launch MSRPs.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy M36 for its screen, camera hardware and support promise
- Its Super AMOLED panel is the relevant distinction if you prefer that display technology; the P4x instead offers a higher refresh rate.
- Samsung specifies OIS on the M36’s rear camera, a hardware feature absent from the P4x specifications cited here. This does not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
- The M36 has a higher-resolution front camera on paper, and Samsung specifically says it supports 4K recording from both front and rear cameras.
- Samsung’s six Android-upgrade generations and six years of security updates are a stated launch commitment. The P4x’s two-year OS-update figure is listed by 91mobiles, not verified here against an official realme policy.
Choose the realme P4x for battery capacity, charging and refresh rate
- Its 7000mAh rated battery is larger than the M36’s 5000mAh typical-capacity battery. Capacity alone does not predict actual hours between charges.
- realme specifies 45W charging, compared with Samsung’s 25W figure.
- The P4x’s 144Hz display refresh rate is higher than the M36’s 120Hz. The M36 has an AMOLED panel, while the P4x is listed as LCD.
Performance and battery-test figures: how to read them
91mobiles reported higher results for the P4x in its comparison-page tests: Geekbench multi-core scores of 2,994 for the P4x and 2,704 for the M36, and AnTuTu scores of 974,831 and 597,495, respectively. These are that publisher’s test results, accessed in 2026; the full test protocol is not stated in the reviewed comparison extract. Treat them as indicative results under that publisher’s conditions, not a guarantee that the P4x will be faster in every app or workload.

These are publisher test results accessed in 2026, and runtime depends on test conditions and use. They are not a prediction of how long either phone will last for an individual owner. Samsung’s separate “up to 17 hours” video-playback figure is a manufacturer figure with its own test conditions, so it should not be treated as a directly comparable result.

Price difference in India
91mobiles displayed the following marketplace prices on 7 October 2026. They may change, and they refer to listings on different retailers rather than a controlled same-store comparison.

M36 launch prices are historical, not current quotes
Samsung’s 30 June 2025 announcement set launch prices at ₹16,499 for 6GB+128GB, including a stated ₹1,000 instant bank discount; ₹17,999 for 8GB+128GB; and ₹20,999 for 8GB+256GB. These are launch figures from 2025, not today’s prices. An official P4x price was not stated on the realme product page cited here, so the Flipkart snapshot should not be mistaken for a manufacturer-set price.

What to check before you buy
- Match the RAM and storage configuration. The M36 launch prices cover three configurations, while the P4x comparison’s base configuration is 6GB+128GB; do not compare prices for different variants as if they were equivalent.
- Open the current retailer listing for the exact model and confirm the seller, stock, final checkout price, bank or exchange conditions, and return terms. The prices above are a 7 October 2026 snapshot.
- For the P4x, confirm the current software-update policy with realme if update longevity is a deciding factor; the two-year OS-update figure cited here comes from 91mobiles.
