Choose Samsung if resolution, AMOLED contrast and panel type matter most. Choose the Narzo if you prioritize its higher listed refresh rate and marginally larger screen. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality; resolution and panel technology are meaningful differences too.

Which has the bigger battery?
realme lists an 8,000mAh battery for the NARZO 100x 5G, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh capacity for the Galaxy M36 5G. The Narzo’s rated capacity is therefore 3,000mAh larger. Launch coverage reports 45W charging for the Narzo; Samsung’s product information indicates approximately 25W fast charging and says the charger is sold separately.
Capacity does not by itself prove how long a phone lasts in everyday use: screen brightness, network conditions, software and workload all affect endurance. realme also promotes seven-year battery health, but that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified lifespan result.

How do the cameras compare?
Samsung specifies three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. The Narzo comparison material lists a 50MP main camera and a second rear camera, without establishing a similarly detailed set of rear-camera roles. Samsung also lists a 13MP selfie camera, versus 8MP for realme.

That does not establish which phone takes better photos: there is no controlled camera test in the available material, and megapixel counts alone are not a reliable image-quality verdict.

Software, support and durability
Samsung’s product listing identifies Android 15 and describes update information as current plans. Its page lists security support valid until December 31, 2031. A comparison source reports six years of OS and security updates for Samsung, but Samsung frames its update information as plans rather than an unchangeable commitment.
realme’s official product page identifies realme UI 7.0, while launch coverage reports Android 16. A comparison listing gives two years of OS updates and three years of security updates for realme; that duration is not confirmed here by official realme support documentation, so treat it as unverified.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M36 5G if you want a higher-resolution Super AMOLED display, an explicitly listed ultrawide camera, or the lower of the two dated 6GB/128GB price snapshots.
