Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is the better fit if you want a sharper AMOLED screen, rear-camera optical image stabilization (OIS), a higher-resolution selfie camera or 4K rear video. OPPO K14x 5G prioritizes a larger battery and faster stated charging. Both offer 120Hz displays and 5G, but their display resolutions and camera capabilities differ substantially. A reliable price-difference verdict depends on current India prices for matching storage configurations; the available official specifications do not establish those prices.

Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy M36 has the stronger display specification if clarity and panel technology matter most. Samsung lists a 1080 × 2340 FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, while OPPO lists a 1570 × 720 HD+ LCD panel. Both are rated for refresh rates up to 120Hz, so the refresh-rate figure alone does not distinguish them.

The K14x’s listed diagonal is slightly larger at 17.15 cm versus 16.91 cm for the M36. A larger diagonal does not mean a sharper image: OPPO’s listed resolution is substantially lower. These figures are manufacturer specifications, not measurements of brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

How do the cameras compare?
Rear cameras and video
Samsung lists three rear cameras—50MP, 8MP and 2MP—and specifies OIS for the rear camera. It also lists 4K rear video recording at 30fps. OPPO lists two rear cameras, 50MP and 2MP, and rear video recording up to 1080p; its specifications say 60fps is unavailable on the 4GB memory variant.
Selfie camera
The M36’s listed front camera is 13MP, compared with 5MP on the K14x. These hardware specifications indicate what each phone supports, but megapixel counts and camera feature lists alone cannot establish which produces better photos or video in practice.

Which has the bigger battery and faster charging?
OPPO lists the K14x with a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 6335mAh rated capacity, plus charging up to 45W SUPERVOOC. Samsung lists a 5000mAh typical-capacity battery for the M36 and states up to 17 hours of video playback. Samsung’s cited product page does not state a charging wattage in the specifications used here, so a charging-speed comparison cannot be completed from these figures.

It also reports up to 11 hours of MLBB, 10.5 hours of Free Fire, 9.4 hours of BGMI and 8.2 hours of PUBG. These are OPPO’s manufacturer-reported figures, not independent tests. Samsung’s up-to-17-hour video-playback figure is a separate manufacturer claim; the two brands’ different published figures should not be treated as a direct battery test comparison.

What do the processor, memory and storage specs tell you?
OPPO identifies the K14x processor as the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Samsung’s cited India product page lists an octa-core CPU with speeds of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz but does not identify the chipset name. That page does not support a more specific chipset comparison.
Samsung’s cited India listing is for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with MicroSD expansion support up to 2TB. OPPO documents 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB configurations, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage and storage-card support. Check the exact memory and storage variant before comparing retailer listings: a price for 4GB/64GB is not a like-for-like comparison with 6GB/128GB.

What about 5G and software support?
Both official India specification pages document 5G support. OPPO lists specific supported 5G bands, and Samsung lists its own Sub-6 band support. Whether a phone connects to 5G depends on the exact regional variant and the bands deployed by your carrier in your location; check both against your carrier before buying.

Is there a price difference—and which is better value?
No dependable numeric price difference can be given without current India retailer prices for the same RAM/storage configuration, checked at the time you buy. Listings may differ by configuration, discounts and availability, so compare the M36 6GB/128GB with the K14x 6GB/128GB for the closest documented match. If considering an OPPO 4GB option, compare it only with a listing of equivalent memory and storage where one is available.
- Choose the Galaxy M36 5G if: you prioritize its higher-resolution Super AMOLED display, rear OIS, 13MP front camera or 4K rear video.
- Choose the OPPO K14x 5G if: its larger stated battery and up-to-45W charging are more important to you.
This is a specification-based choice, not a tested overall-winner verdict. Check the current price and availability of the exact variant you want before deciding.
