The Infinix GT 30 5G+ has the more gaming-focused spec sheet, with a 1.5K AMOLED display rated up to 144 Hz, a Dimensity 7400 chipset and a 5,500 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G stands out for its stated six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates, plus optical image stabilization (OIS) on its main rear camera. Neither set of specifications alone proves which phone performs better in everyday use; the right choice depends on what you value and the current price of the storage variant you want.

| Rear cameras | 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP; OIS on the main camera | 64 MP Sony dual-camera system | M36 specifies stabilization and a triple-camera layout; megapixel counts alone do not establish photo quality. [Samsung India] [Infinix India] |

Which phone is better for gaming?
The GT 30 5G+ is the more gaming-oriented choice on paper. Its 1.5K display is listed at up to 144 Hz, it uses the Dimensity 7400, and Infinix highlights shoulder triggers on its India product page. Those features may appeal to people who play games that support higher refresh rates or trigger controls.

The M36 has a 120 Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display and an Exynos 1380. The published specifications do not provide a controlled, directly comparable test of frame rates, thermal behavior or sustained performance, so they cannot settle which phone delivers the better gaming experience in practice. Game support, settings and the particular title also matter.

How do their displays compare?
The GT 30 lists a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 144 Hz. The M36 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display at 120 Hz. On listed resolution and maximum refresh rate, the GT 30 has the higher figures; Samsung’s specification identifies its panel as Super AMOLED. A higher refresh-rate ceiling does not mean every app or game will use it.

Which has the more useful camera system?
The M36 has a 50 MP main camera with OIS, alongside 8 MP and 2 MP rear cameras. OIS is a concrete distinction for the main camera, but it does not guarantee better photos in every situation. The GT 30’s India page describes a 64 MP Sony dual-camera system. A higher megapixel count by itself is not proof of superior image quality, and the available specifications do not establish a head-to-head photo winner.
Samsung’s launch announcement specifies 4K recording on the front and rear cameras. Infinix’s official product FAQ lists 4K video recording, but the listed fact does not establish that every camera or mode records at 4K. Check the exact recording modes for the variant you plan to buy if video capabilities are decisive.

Battery capacity, charging and software support
The GT 30 lists a 5,500 mAh battery, 45 W wired charging and 10 W reverse charging. The M36 lists 5,000 mAh and 25 W fast charging. These are capacity and charging specifications, not independent battery-runtime measurements; actual endurance varies with brightness, network conditions, apps and gaming.

Samsung announced six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the M36. The reviewed official Infinix pages list XOS 15 based on Android 15 but do not state an equivalent multi-year update duration. If a clearly specified long-term update commitment is important, Samsung has the stronger documented case here.

What is the price difference in India?
Prices and stock can change, and the available figures do not establish a reliable current price difference. Samsung’s June 30, 2025 launch announcement listed introductory M36 prices. Infinix India displayed a sale price and a regular price when accessed in 2026, but its product page showed “Notify me,” so purchase availability was not confirmed.
| Phone and source snapshot | Configuration or price shown | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy M36 5G, launch announcement on June 30, 2025 | 6 GB + 128 GB: ₹16,499, including a stated ₹1,000 instant bank discount; 8 GB + 128 GB: ₹17,999; 8 GB + 256 GB: ₹20,999 | These are introductory launch prices, not verified current offers. Samsung said sales would begin July 12, 2025 through Samsung.com, Amazon and select retail stores. [Samsung India] |
| Infinix GT 30 5G+, India product page accessed in 2026 | ₹21,999 displayed sale price against ₹24,999 regular price; 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB variants appeared in the selector | A dynamic page snapshot, not a guaranteed current offer; the page showed “Notify me,” so stock was not confirmed. [Infinix India] |
A 91mobiles comparison page also showed the M36 at ₹21,999 on Amazon and the GT 30 at ₹21,999 as out of stock when accessed. That is another dated listing snapshot, not a guaranteed offer or proof of live price parity. [91mobiles]

Before deciding on price, check the same storage configuration on the day you buy, distinguish a bank discount from the base price, and confirm that the listing is in stock. The 2025 Samsung launch prices and the later Infinix page snapshot are not like-for-like current quotes.
