Galaxy M36: AMOLED at 120Hz
The M36 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. AMOLED is the distinguishing specification if you prefer that display technology; Samsung also lists Vision Booster.

Redmi 15 5G: larger LCD with up to 144Hz
The Redmi’s 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD is larger and has a higher stated maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Xiaomi notes that adaptive sync at that rate is limited to some apps, so it should not be read as a rate every app will use all the time. Its specification page also lists up to 288Hz touch sampling, 850 nits peak brightness and 374 ppi.
Choose by panel preference and size as well as refresh rate: the numbers alone do not establish which screen will look better to you.

Camera comparison: OIS and camera count matter more than the shared 50MP label
Both phones list a 50MP main-camera headline, but that does not make their camera systems equivalent. Samsung specifies a 50MP OIS triple rear camera and a 13MP front camera. Xiaomi specifies a 50MP dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Samsung also lists 4K recording on both front and rear cameras.

On paper, the M36 is the more appealing choice if optical image stabilization or its higher-resolution front camera is important. These published specifications do not establish comparative photo or video quality in real use.

Battery capacity, charging speed and what comes in the box
Xiaomi lists a 7,000mAh typical battery and 33W charging for the Redmi 15 5G. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery and 25W charging support for the M36; its product page gives a 4,905mAh rated minimum. Capacity is not a runtime test, so the larger Redmi figure does not translate into a guaranteed number of extra hours. Actual battery life varies with usage and network conditions.
The box contents are a practical difference: Xiaomi lists a 33W adapter in the Redmi package, while Samsung says the M36’s approximately 25W fast charger is sold separately. Check the exact retail package and any included accessories before buying.

Software support: Samsung states a longer schedule
Samsung says the M36 is eligible for six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. Samsung qualifies this as its current plan rather than a commitment. Xiaomi lists two years of OS updates and four years of security updates for the Redmi 15 5G. These are manufacturer policy statements, not a guarantee that every update will arrive simultaneously in every region or for every device.

Samsung announced these introductory M36 prices in India on 30 June 2025. The ₹16,499 price for the 6GB/128GB variant included a stated ₹1,000 instant bank discount; the other figures are the listed introductory prices. Samsung said availability would begin on 12 July 2025 through Samsung.com, Amazon and select retail stores. These dated launch prices should not be treated as current offers.

A third-party 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹21,999 for the M36 and ₹21,499 for the Redmi 15 in its observed snapshot, but the figures do not establish matching storage configurations or today’s checkout prices. Do not subtract them from Samsung’s 2025 launch prices to claim a current price gap. Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M36 5G on paper if you want a Super AMOLED display, Samsung’s published OIS triple-camera specification, 4K front-camera recording or the longer stated software-support schedule.
- Choose the Redmi 15 5G on paper if you prefer a larger display, its higher stated maximum refresh rate, greater listed battery capacity or an adapter included in the package.
- For the better deal, compare the checkout prices of the exact RAM/storage variants you are considering. The M36’s dated introductory prices and a third-party snapshot are not a like-for-like current comparison.
