Samsung’s specifications do not establish how the two processors compare in everyday speed or gaming. Likewise, camera megapixels and feature lists are not a substitute for comparable photo tests, which are not available here. The A17’s support commitment is a published policy for that phone, not evidence of a verified support-duration advantage over the M35. Samsung says its update policy may change.

Which phone has the better display and battery?
Choose the M35 for a documented 120 Hz refresh rate
The M35’s 120 Hz sAMOLED specification is useful if smoother scrolling and motion are priorities. Samsung lists a Full HD+ panel and a high-brightness mode of up to 1,000 nits. The A17 has the larger stated diagonal at 6.7 inches, but the cited launch announcement does not state its refresh rate, so do not assume a particular rate from this comparison.

Choose the M35 for greater stated battery capacity
The M35 is rated at 6,000 mAh, compared with 5,000 mAh for the A17. Both list 25 W charging. The capacity difference alone cannot tell you how many hours either phone will last; no comparable runtime test is established here.
How do their cameras and durability differ?
A17 has the more fully specified rear-camera array
Samsung lists an OIS-equipped 50 MP main camera, 5 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro for the A17. The M35 launch announcement describes a 50 MP “No Shake” main camera and features including Nightography and Astrolapse, but does not provide an equivalent full rear-camera specification. This makes the A17’s hardware easier to compare on paper, not a proven photo-quality winner.

A17 has a stated IP54 rating
Samsung lists IP54 protection and front Gorilla Glass Victus for the A17. Samsung cautions that water resistance can diminish and does not advise using the phone at the beach or pool. For the M35, the cited launch announcement describes Gorilla Glass Victus+ but does not state an IP rating. That omission is not proof that the phone lacks a rating.
How different are the Galaxy M35 and A17 prices?
Samsung India’s launch prices show the A17 ₹1,000 below the M35 for the matching 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage configuration. The table gives launch prices, not current retail prices.
