The Galaxy A07 5G has the higher refresh rate and the larger stated battery. A retailer comparison also showed the A07 5G priced about ₹5,429 lower on Amazon India, but that figure is a dated listing snapshot, not a fixed price. Neither phone has a published independent battery-life or camera-quality test in the sources reviewed, so the spec sheets are the only firm basis for comparison.

Display: resolution versus refresh rate
The two phones trade different display strengths. The Galaxy M17 5G uses a Super AMOLED panel at FHD+ resolution, which gives it more pixels and the panel technology generally associated with deeper blacks and richer contrast. The 90 Hz refresh rate is adequate for everyday scrolling but is lower than the A07 5G’s figure.

The Galaxy A07 5G’s 120 Hz refresh rate makes motion look smoother on paper, especially in scrolling and animations. Its HD+ resolution and PLS LCD panel are a step down in pixel density and panel type. Whether that trade-off matters depends on how you use the phone: if you mostly read text and watch video, the M17’s resolution and panel will be more noticeable; if you value smooth motion above sharpness, the A07 5G’s refresh rate is the stronger feature. Samsung’s figures do not show how either display performs under outdoor sunlight, because the M17’s peak brightness is not stated in the sources reviewed.

Cameras: versatility on the M17, a larger front-camera gap in its favour
The Galaxy M17 5G includes an ultra-wide camera and a macro lens alongside its 50 MP main camera. The A07 5G uses a 50 MP wide camera with a 2 MP depth sensor, so it does not offer a dedicated ultra-wide lens. For buyers who frequently shoot landscapes, groups or close-up subjects, that difference in lens coverage is the most practical camera distinction in the spec sheets.
The M17’s 13 MP front camera also outresolves the A07 5G’s 8 MP selfie camera. Megapixel counts, however, describe sensor resolution rather than photo quality. Processing, sensor size and lens design all affect the final image, and no side-by-side photo test of these two exact models was found in the sources reviewed.

Battery and charging
The Galaxy A07 5G carries the larger stated battery: 6,000 mAh typical, with Samsung’s product page specifying a 5,830 mAh rated minimum. The Galaxy M17 5G is listed at 5,000 mAh typical. Those numbers show which phone has more stored charge on paper, but they do not show how long either phone lasts. Screen resolution, refresh rate, chipset efficiency and usage pattern all change runtime, and no independent battery test of these two models was established.

Charging is a separate point. Samsung states that the M17’s 25W fast charger is sold separately, so buyers should confirm whether a charger is included in their regional box and whether an existing USB-C charger supports the phone’s charging rate. Charger contents for the A07 5G were not stated in the sources reviewed.

Software support: what Samsung has and has not committed to
Samsung’s Galaxy A07 5G launch announcement, dated February 12, 2026, describes its support offer as “up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates.” The word “up to” matters: it is a stated ceiling, not a guarantee of every update on a fixed schedule. The announcement also says availability begins January 30 in select regions, so the offer should not be assumed to apply in every market.
Samsung’s Galaxy M17 5G product page takes a different approach. Its update information is labelled as not a commitment or obligation of Samsung. Neither phone’s update plan should be read as a guarantee that matches the other’s, and the A07 5G’s published figure should be understood as Samsung’s stated support rather than a verified delivery record.

Price difference: a dated snapshot, not a quote
A 91mobiles comparison page showed the Galaxy M17 5G at ₹21,999 and the Galaxy A07 5G at ₹16,570 on Amazon India, a difference of ₹5,429. The page did not state the date of the listing or the memory and storage configuration behind each price. Other comparison pages showed different prices, which suggests that retailer figures move frequently.
The ₹5,429 gap is therefore a useful signal that the A07 5G was cheaper at the time of that snapshot, but it should not be quoted as a permanent difference or as an official Samsung price. Before buying, check the exact variant you intend to purchase on Amazon India or Samsung India, and compare the final price including any bank offers, exchange deals or shipping charges.

Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Galaxy M17 5G if a sharper AMOLED display, a dedicated ultra-wide rear camera or a higher-resolution selfie camera matters more to you than a faster refresh rate.
- Choose the Galaxy A07 5G if you prioritise the 120 Hz refresh rate, the larger stated battery capacity, and the lower listed price, and you accept an HD+ PLS LCD panel and a camera setup without an ultra-wide lens.
- Verify before you buy: the memory and storage variant, the live price in your region, the charger included in the box, and the update terms printed on the product page you are buying from.
Specifications point in different directions, and no controlled test in the reviewed sources declares an overall winner for real-world performance or battery life.
