Which display is better for your priorities?
Choose the M17 for resolution and AMOLED
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen at 90 Hz. Its higher stated resolution and AMOLED panel make it the more compelling specification choice for readers who prioritize detail and panel type. This does not establish which screen looks better in person under every setting or lighting condition.
Choose the Narzo 90X for refresh rate and screen size
The Narzo 90X is listed with a slightly larger, 6.8-inch HD+ LCD and a 144 Hz refresh rate. That gives it the higher stated refresh rate and a marginally larger diagonal, but the listed resolution is lower and the panel is LCD rather than AMOLED. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality.

Battery capacity and charging: Narzo leads on listed figures
realme lists a 7,000 mAh battery and 60W charging for the Narzo 90X; Samsung lists 5,000 mAh and 25W charging for the M17. Those specifications favor the Narzo on capacity and charging wattage. They do not prove longer real-world battery life or a particular charge time, which depend on usage, settings, charger and conditions.
Samsung says the M17’s 25W charger is sold separately. Check the seller’s package details and charger compatibility before buying accessories; package contents for the Narzo were not confirmed in the reviewed official material.

Camera hardware: OIS and more listed modules on Samsung
The M17’s listed rear setup comprises a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera; its listed front camera is 13 MP. OIS can help stabilize the main camera, but hardware specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better photographs or video.

The comparison listing gives the Narzo 90X a 50 MP primary rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. realme’s official page highlights a Sony 50 MP camera. The available comparison does not list ultrawide or macro modules for the Narzo. Megapixel counts and camera-module counts are not substitutes for controlled image-quality testing.

Software support and storage can matter more over time
Samsung has the clearer published support commitment
Samsung announced six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the M17. Its product page says security updates are valid through 30 September 2031 and notes that update plans may change. The reviewed official Narzo material did not establish a comparable support duration, so that should be treated as unconfirmed rather than as proof that support is shorter.
Check physical RAM and expansion needs
Samsung’s listed launch configurations are 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB and 8/128 GB, and its specification page lists microSD support up to 2 TB. realme lists 128 GB storage and claims up to 18 GB of dynamic RAM. Dynamic RAM uses storage as a memory extension; it is not equivalent to the same amount of physical RAM. Confirm the exact variant offered by the seller before comparing prices.

Price difference: launch prices versus a dated retailer snapshot
Samsung India’s 2025 launch prices were ₹12,499 for 4/128 GB, ₹13,999 for 6/128 GB and ₹15,499 for 8/128 GB. The ₹12,499 figure included a special launch offer, so these are historical launch prices, not a promise of current availability or price.

A 91mobiles comparison page accessed in 2026 showed Amazon India listing prices of ₹20,499 for the M17 and ₹19,499 for the Narzo 90X. That snapshot put the M17 ₹1,000 higher, but retailer prices can change and listings may differ by seller, stock and memory variant. The reviewed material did not establish a current official India price for the Narzo 90X.

For a fair live comparison, match the RAM and storage variant, then check each listing’s seller, stock, included items and final checkout price. Do not compare an M17 launch offer or one memory tier against a Narzo listing with a different configuration.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M17 5G if FHD+ Super AMOLED, OIS, additional listed rear cameras, microSD expansion or a documented update commitment are your priorities.
- Choose the realme Narzo 90X 5G if its larger stated battery, 60W charging or 144 Hz refresh rate matters more to you.
- Compare exact listings before deciding if price is the deciding factor: the Samsung numbers are launch prices, and the Amazon figures are a dated observation, not live quotes.
The processors are listed as 6 nm octa-core 5G chips—Exynos 1330 in the M17 and Dimensity 6300 in the Narzo 90X. The available material does not establish an independently verified performance winner, so choose based on the features and verified listing details that matter to you rather than assuming one is faster.
