Which is the better buy depends on the exact RAM/storage variant and the live checkout price: the Samsung prices announced at launch are historical, while the retailer-linked prices below are only a dated snapshot.
Price difference: compare the same configuration at checkout
There is no verified like-for-like current price comparison in the available listings. Samsung announced launch-period net effective prices of ₹12,499 for the Galaxy F70e 5G with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and ₹13,999 for its 6GB+128GB version; both figures included bank cashback. Samsung also mentioned an additional limited-period ₹500 offer. These are historical launch offers, not guaranteed prices today. Samsung’s announcement dated 9 February 2026 said sales would begin on 17 February.

A 91mobiles comparison page showed retailer-linked prices of ₹16,999 for the Samsung at Flipkart and ₹16,340 for the Redmi at Amazon when accessed on 4 October 2026. That ₹659 difference is not a reliable like-for-like price gap: the page does not establish that the listings were for matching configurations or that either amount was the final checkout price. Listings and availability can change. Check the comparison-page snapshot, then confirm the model, RAM and storage, bank or exchange discounts, delivery charges and final payable amount on the retailer’s listing.

Which display is better for your use?
The Redmi’s 6.9-inch screen is 0.2 inches larger diagonally than the F70e’s 6.7-inch screen. Both are HD+ panels specified for refresh rates up to 120Hz. Xiaomi lists 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz options; Samsung’s announcement specifies 120Hz. A bigger screen may suit video viewing or reading, while the smaller F70e may be easier to handle, but neither resolution class nor refresh-rate ceiling alone establishes brightness, color, outdoor visibility or smoothness in everyday use.
Camera specifications: megapixels do not settle photo quality
Samsung lists a 50MP main rear camera and a 2MP depth camera; Xiaomi lists a 32MP rear camera. Both list an 8MP front camera. These counts and camera configurations do not establish which phone produces better photos or video: image processing, sensor and lens characteristics, focus, lighting and software all matter. No independent camera comparison is established here, so choose based on tested samples rather than megapixel figures alone.

Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi specifies a 6,300mAh typical-capacity battery, compared with Samsung’s 6,000mAh battery. The Redmi also lists 7.5W wired reverse charging. For charging, Samsung’s stated 25W rating is higher than Xiaomi’s 15W rating; Xiaomi lists a 15W adapter in the box. Ratings do not establish real-world battery endurance or charge time, which can vary with use, settings, temperature and the charger used. No independent battery-life or charging-time test is available here.

Updates, resistance and practical extras
Samsung states that the F70e will receive six years of OS and security updates. Xiaomi lists four years of Android updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi. Those are different support descriptions: Samsung’s statement covers OS and security updates for six years, while Xiaomi specifies separate durations for Android updates and security patches. Check the manufacturers’ current support terms for the details that matter to you.

The F70e is rated IP54 and the Redmi IP52. These are different dust- and water-resistance ratings, not a promise that either phone is waterproof; do not infer protection beyond the rating from the label. Xiaomi additionally lists microSD expansion up to 2TB, a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual 5G SIM support. Samsung’s cited launch announcement does not establish equivalent expansion or headphone-jack details, so their absence from this comparison should not be read as confirmation that the phone lacks them.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi 15A 5G if a larger display, higher stated battery capacity, microSD expansion or a 3.5mm headphone jack matters most, and its live price for the configuration you want is competitive.
- Choose the Galaxy F70e 5G if you value Samsung’s stated six-year OS-and-security update promise, a higher charging rating, or the F70e’s 50MP-main-plus-depth-camera arrangement—and the current checkout price fits your budget.
- Compare exact variants before buying. The Redmi is offered in 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB; Samsung’s launch announcement lists 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB. For a fair price comparison, match RAM and storage where possible and compare the final checkout amount, not an old launch offer or an unconfirmed retailer snapshot.
- Do not decide on untested performance or cameras. Processor names and camera resolutions are specifications, not a benchmark or photo-quality verdict.
Design and availability details
Samsung describes the F70e as 8.2mm thin, with a leather finish, and lists Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue. Its announcement says Samsung has a service network of over 3,300 centres; that is Samsung’s stated figure, not an independently audited comparison with Xiaomi’s support network. Xiaomi lists the Redmi at 171.56 × 79.47 × 8.15mm and 210g, in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple and Ace Black. These dimensions, finishes and color names may help narrow a choice, but do not substitute for checking the exact variant and stock available from the seller.
