Which phone has the better display and battery specifications?
Display
Xiaomi lists the higher-resolution panel: 1.5K at 2772 × 1280, compared with Samsung’s FHD+ 1080 × 2340. Both are AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi also claims a 3,500-nit peak brightness figure; that is the manufacturer’s stated specification, not a comparable independent brightness test.

Battery
The Xiaomi’s listed typical capacity is 9,000 mAh, compared with 6,000 mAh typical for Samsung. Xiaomi also lists 67 W fast charging and 22.5 W wired reverse charging. These capacity figures alone do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use: screen settings, signal conditions, apps, and other usage affect runtime, and no comparable battery test is established here.
How do the cameras compare?
Samsung lists three rear camera modules and 4K/30 fps video recording. Xiaomi lists a 50 MP OIS main camera with an 8 MP ultrawide and rear video up to 1080p/30 fps. For selfies, Xiaomi lists a 16 MP front camera, compared with Samsung’s 12 MP.

These are specification differences, not proof of better photos or video. Megapixel counts and the number of camera modules do not establish image quality; actual results depend on factors such as image processing, lighting, and the lens used.
Which has more storage flexibility and longer stated support?
Storage
Samsung’s reviewed India page specifies an 8 GB/256 GB variant and a hybrid SIM/microSD slot supporting cards up to 2 TB. Xiaomi’s India page lists 8 GB RAM configurations with 128 GB or 256 GB internal storage; the cited specification does not list microSD expansion.

Software support
Samsung explicitly promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from the phone’s first global launch date. Xiaomi’s cited India page establishes HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, but does not establish an equivalent duration commitment. That distinction is about what the cited pages state, not a claim that Xiaomi will provide no further updates.
What is the India price difference?

These are retailer listing snapshots and can change with stock, seller, offers, and configuration; they should not be treated as stable MRPs or current checkout prices.

Check the live listing and match RAM and storage before deciding.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G if the higher-resolution display, larger stated battery capacity, included 67 W adapter, or higher-resolution selfie camera matters most to you.
- Choose the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G if you want listed 4K rear video, microSD expansion, or Samsung’s explicit OS and security-update commitment.
- Compare the live prices carefully if cost is the deciding factor. Confirm the same RAM/storage configuration, seller, availability, and offer terms rather than relying on a past listing snapshot.
Both sets of specifications are India-specific. Verify the exact regional SKU, carrier-band compatibility, and local service availability before buying; this comparison does not establish those details for every market. The cited pages also do not establish an IP rating or screen-glass grade for either phone, so those should be confirmed against the exact SKU rather than inferred from another regional model.
