The India-market Galaxy F56 5G is slimmer and lighter, while the Galaxy A37 5G adds a documented IP68 rating, a higher-resolution macro camera and a later security-update end date. Their core specifications overlap: both have 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED displays, 50MP optical-image-stabilized main cameras, 5,000mAh typical batteries and Samsung’s stated policy of up to six Android OS upgrades. The recorded prices come from different dates and contexts, so they do not establish a current price gap.
Samsung Galaxy F56 vs Galaxy A37: specifications at a glance
The figures below are Samsung specifications for India-market models, not results from independent comparative testing. Launch dates and prices are included with their specific context because they were not recorded on the same date or basis.

What is different between the F56 and A37?
The A37 has the documented water-resistance advantage
Samsung lists IP68 for the A37 and describes testing in up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. That is a laboratory rating, not a guarantee against all water exposure: Samsung cautions that resistance can diminish over time. The reviewed official F56 sources do not establish an IP rating, so the evidence does not support treating it as water-resistant to a particular standard.

The F56 is thinner and lighter
Samsung’s dimensions make the F56 16g lighter and 0.2mm thinner than the A37. It is also slightly shorter and narrower. Those differences may matter if a lighter phone is a priority, but specifications alone do not establish how either device feels in hand.
The display labels differ, but both list 120Hz FHD+
Both phones have a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung calls the F56 panel Super AMOLED Plus and the A37 panel Super AMOLED. The naming difference does not, by itself, establish which screen looks better; no independent display comparison is available here.

The A37 lists a 5MP macro camera
Both phones specify a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP camera and a 12MP selfie camera. Their third rear cameras differ: 2MP on the F56 and 5MP on the A37. A higher megapixel figure alone does not prove better image quality, and the listed specifications do not establish an overall camera winner.

The A37’s listed security-support end date is later
Samsung’s product pages list security updates through 31 December 2030 for the F56 and through 31 March 2032 for the A37. Both phones are also covered by Samsung’s stated policy of up to six generations of Android OS upgrades. The specific end dates on the product pages are the more useful distinction when comparing the listed security-update periods.

Do they have the same battery and charging?
Both have a 5,000mAh typical-capacity battery, but Samsung lists different video-playback estimates: up to 26 hours for the F56 and up to 29 hours for the A37. These are manufacturer figures, not a controlled head-to-head result. Samsung says UX Connect Research independently assessed the A37’s estimated usage profile between 8 and 18 January 2026 in the UK, using pre-release SM-A376 devices on LTE and 5G Sub6; that assessment is not a comparison with the F56.
Charging claims also differ. Samsung’s F56 launch announcement states 45W charging support, and its product page says the charger is sold separately. For the A37, Samsung says Super Fast Charging 2.0 can reach up to 60% in 30 minutes under its stated conditions. These claims do not establish comparative charging times under identical testing.

- Equipped with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED display that supports a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, the Galaxy A54 5G delivers vibrant visuals, rich contrast, and excellent readability even in bright outdoor conditions.
What is the price difference in India?
The available official figures are not a like-for-like current price comparison. Samsung announced the F56 at ₹25,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹28,999 for 8GB/256GB in May 2025, with a stated ₹2,000 instant bank discount. A Samsung support response dated 26 April 2026 reported ₹41,999 as the official Samsung.com price for the A37 8GB model; it did not specify storage in that response and noted that third-party prices may vary with promotions and regional differences.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A37 if IP68 protection, a 5MP macro camera or the later security-update end date listed by Samsung matters most to you.
- Consider the Galaxy F56 if lower listed weight and thickness or the Super AMOLED Plus display label are more important. Check its current availability and price before deciding.
- Compare both further if your decision depends on camera quality, real-world speed, screen quality or battery life. The cited manufacturer specifications do not prove a winner on those performance questions.
