How good are the cameras?
Main camera: strongest in favorable light
The 50MP main camera includes optical image stabilization. 91mobiles praised its daylight results, but said low-light photography needs improvement. It also noted that long exposures can produce shaky shots. The useful takeaway is that the main camera is more convincing in good light than in challenging night scenes.

Ultrawide and selfie cameras
The rear 8MP ultrawide gives you a wider framing option, while the front camera is 50MP. Selfie assessments differ: 91mobiles was more positive about daylight performance, while MySmartPrice characterized selfies as average. The megapixel count alone does not settle that difference, so treat selfie quality as a mixed point rather than a guaranteed strength.

- No charger in the box: Both 91mobiles and MySmartPrice list the missing charger as a drawback. Samsung announced a separate 45W travel-adapter offer at launch; that offer does not establish current availability or price.
- Demanding games can expose limits: 91mobiles reported warmth and occasional frame drops after gaming, while MySmartPrice also flagged difficulty with heavy-duty games. These are reviewer observations, not controlled comparisons across all units or software versions.
- Battery results depend on use: In its 2024 review, 91mobiles reported 10 hours 7 minutes in a PCMark battery test and 11% battery use during 30 minutes of BGMI. Those are results from that publication’s tests, not a prediction of your runtime; settings and conditions affect battery drain.
- Preinstalled apps: MySmartPrice identified bloatware, while 91mobiles noted that some third-party apps can be removed after setup.
How long will Samsung support it?
Samsung announced a plan for four generations of Android upgrades and five years of security updates. Its product information qualifies this as potential updates rather than a commitment or obligation. Treat it as Samsung’s stated plan, not a guarantee of a particular update date or delivery schedule. Details are on Samsung’s Galaxy F55 product page.

Who should buy the Galaxy F55 5G?
Consider it if
- You value the vegan-leather styling and want a phone that looks different from a conventional glass-backed design.
- A large, smooth AMOLED display is a higher priority than demanding gaming performance.
- You want Samsung’s stated update plan and are comfortable with its caveat that updates are not guaranteed on a specific schedule.
- You mainly take everyday photos in good light and can accept weaker low-light results.
Look elsewhere if
- You often play demanding games and want performance that stays consistent through longer sessions.
- Reliable low-light photography is a top requirement.
- You expect a wall charger to be included with the phone.
Before choosing it over another phone, compare the current price for the same storage tier, software-support terms, display, low-light camera performance, gaming heat and battery drain, and included accessories. The cited 91mobiles review names the Nothing Phone (2a), OnePlus Nord CE4, POCO X6 Pro and Vivo V30e as alternatives, but current like-for-like prices and support details are not established here; check those details before making a comparison.

Verdict
The Galaxy F55 5G’s best case is its combination of distinctive design, a vivid 120Hz display and Samsung’s stated long-term update plan. Its weaknesses matter most if your priorities are heavy gaming, night photography or an included charger. It is easier to recommend to a Samsung-oriented buyer who values the design and screen than to someone seeking a gaming-first or low-light-camera phone. Since the published prices are from launch in 2024, base any buying decision on the current price and availability of the exact variant you want.
