For a smoother-looking screen, the Galaxy F36 5G is the clearer pick: Samsung lists a 120 Hz refresh rate, versus 90 Hz on the Galaxy M17 5G. The M17’s official specifications document IP54 protection, Gorilla Glass Victus and 25 W charging. Both have FHD+ Super AMOLED displays, OIS on the rear camera system and 5000 mAh typical batteries. There is no dependable single price gap to quote: the available India prices are from different dates, variants and availability states.

Which has the better display?
Both phones use a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ Super AMOLED display, so the listed refresh rate is the main documented difference: 120 Hz for the F36 and 90 Hz for the M17. A higher maximum refresh rate can make supported scrolling and motion look smoother, but it does not establish which screen is brighter, more color-accurate or easier to see outdoors. Those comparisons are not established by the cited specifications.

Do the cameras or batteries make one a better choice?
Rear cameras
Samsung lists a 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP rear setup and OIS for the F36. Its M17 launch material describes a 50 MP OIS triple-camera system, including ultra-wide and macro cameras. OIS is documented for both, but megapixel counts and company descriptions alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.

Battery and charging
Both models are listed with a 5000 mAh typical battery. Samsung’s M17 material documents 25 W charging; the cited F36 material does not establish a matching charging-speed figure. Battery capacity does not, by itself, establish real-world endurance, and the available information does not provide a controlled battery-life comparison.
What durability and software support are documented?
Samsung says the M17 has an IP54 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus. The cited F36 specifications do not establish a like-for-like IP rating or glass type, which is not the same as proving the F36 has no protection.

Support commitments are stated differently. Samsung lists the F36’s security-update validity through 31 December 2031. For the M17, Samsung announced Android 15 with One UI 7 at launch and promised six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Because one statement gives a calendar end date and the other gives upgrade and support counts, they do not establish a simple support-period winner.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the F36 if screen refresh rate is your priority. Its listed maximum is 120 Hz, compared with 90 Hz for the M17.
- Consider the M17 if documented durability details or charging support matter most. Samsung specifies IP54, Gorilla Glass Victus and 25 W charging for it in the cited material.
- Do not choose based on assumed camera or battery superiority. OIS and 5000 mAh typical capacity are documented for both, but the available information does not establish comparative image quality or endurance.
- Decide on price only after checking live, matching variants. The published launch and buy-page figures differ by date, configuration and availability.
