Choose the F23 for refresh rate
The F23’s 6.6-inch TFT screen is listed at 120 Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations appear smoother, while the F16’s AMOLED panel and larger size are distinct advantages. The specifications alone do not establish which display looks better overall.

Performance and software age
The F23 launched in 2022 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G; the F16 launched in 2025 with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. These chip names do not provide a reliable head-to-head performance verdict without independent testing, so choose based on verified current performance needs rather than assuming one is faster from the comparison alone.
The comparison listing identifies Android 12 for the F23 and Android 15 for the F16, but installed software can change with updates and may differ by regional configuration. Samsung’s F16 page lists security updates through October 31, 2030. Samsung describes that update policy as its current plan, subject to change and not a commitment or obligation. The F23’s current software and security status should be checked before buying.

Camera differences: ultrawide versus selfie resolution
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The F23 has an 8 MP ultrawide camera, compared with 5 MP on the F16; the F16’s front camera is listed at 13 MP, versus 8 MP on the F23. These are resolution differences, not proof of better image quality. Megapixels alone do not establish detail, color, low-light performance or camera consistency.
Battery and storage
Both phones are listed with 5000 mAh batteries. Samsung identifies the F16’s 5000 mAh as a typical capacity based on third-party laboratory testing and gives 4860 mAh as its rated/minimum capacity; actual battery life varies with use. The available specifications do not establish a comparative endurance result.

- It offers a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 48-120 Hz refresh rate plus up to ~ 1750 nits peak brightness and “Vision Booster,” meaning the screen stays bright and viewable even in strong sunlight — great if you use your phone outdoors a lot.
The comparison configuration lists 128 GB storage for each phone. Samsung lists microSD support up to 1.5 TB for the F16; confirm the exact variant and how its card slot is configured before purchase, since the available comparison does not establish the same storage details for every F23 variant.
Price difference in the available listing
A 91mobiles comparison listing showed ₹12,999 for the Galaxy F23 5G and ₹12,499 for the Galaxy F16 5G—a ₹500 listed difference, with the F16 lower in that snapshot. These figures are not official Samsung prices or guaranteed live offers. Another comparison listing showed the same figures in different retailer contexts.

Which one should you buy?
Pick the Galaxy F16 5G if
- You want the newer launch generation and prefer a larger Super AMOLED screen.
- You value the 13 MP listed selfie camera or Samsung’s stated security-update horizon.
