The F17 lists a higher-resolution FHD+ Super AMOLED panel; the Moto G37 Power lists an HD+ LCD with a higher maximum refresh rate. These are separate trade-offs: resolution affects how much detail the listed panel can show, while refresh rate describes how often it can update. Samsung’s listed 1080 × 2340 resolution is substantially higher than Motorola’s 1604 × 720, whereas Motorola’s 120 Hz maximum is higher than Samsung’s 90 Hz. The specs alone do not establish perceived brightness, colour accuracy or smoothness in every app.

Camera hardware: more options on Samsung’s list
Samsung lists three rear cameras: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro. Motorola lists a 50 MP main camera. The F17 therefore offers more listed rear-camera options, and OIS is specified for its main camera; the megapixel counts and camera count are not proof of better image quality. Samsung also lists a higher-resolution front camera, 13 MP versus Motorola’s 8 MP.
Battery size and charging ratings
Motorola lists a 7000 mAh battery, with 6790 mAh rated capacity, and 30 W TurboPower charging. It also lists 6 W wired reverse charging. Samsung lists 5000 mAh and 25 W charging. Those figures favor Motorola for stated capacity and charging wattage, but they do not establish real-world battery life or how long either phone takes to charge. Usage, network conditions, settings and charger availability can affect the result; no comparable endurance or charging-time measurement is established here.

Software support and durability claims
Update commitments
Samsung states that the Galaxy F17 will receive six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Motorola’s reviewed official specifications list Android 16 for the Moto G37 Power but do not give a comparable support-duration promise. Android 16 being listed is not itself a statement of how many future upgrades or years of security patches the phone will receive.

Water and dust ratings, glass and toughness
Samsung lists IP54 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus; Motorola lists IP64 and Gorilla Glass 7i, along with an MIL-STD-810H statement. The IP ratings are not an immersion guarantee, and glass or durability claims do not promise that a phone will survive a particular drop or accident. Treat them as manufacturer-listed protection specifications, not insurance against damage.

Price difference: treat listings as snapshots
When reviewed, 91mobiles displayed Amazon-linked prices of ₹19,623 for the Galaxy F17 5G and ₹17,250 for the Moto G37 Power 5G, a displayed difference of ₹2,373 with Samsung higher. These are price snapshots from a comparison page, not confirmed live offers or guaranteed checkout totals. Verify the current listing, RAM/storage configuration, stock, applicable offers and final price before deciding. Samsung’s official product page was marked “Not for sale” when reviewed, so its direct availability also needs a live check.
For historical context, Samsung’s India announcement on 11 September 2025 listed introductory F17 prices of ₹13,999 for 4/128 GB, ₹15,499 for 6/128 GB and ₹16,999 for 8/128 GB. The announcement included a ₹500 cashback offer subject to stated payment terms. These launch prices and offer are historical, not current prices. Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G if
- You prioritize the listed FHD+ Super AMOLED resolution over a higher refresh-rate figure.
- You want an ultra-wide and macro option in addition to the main camera, plus OIS specified on that main camera.
- You value Samsung’s stated six Android OS generations and six years of security updates.
- You prefer the lighter, thinner figures listed for the F17, while recognizing that the source for those dimensions is the comparison listing.
Choose the Moto G37 Power 5G if
- You prioritize its larger listed battery capacity or 30 W charging rating.
- You want the higher listed 120 Hz refresh rate.
- You value the IP64 rating, stereo speakers, a headphone jack or microSD expansion; Motorola lists microSD support up to 1 TB.
- You are comfortable with Motorola’s official specifications not stating a comparable update-support duration.
Neither processor specification settles which phone performs better in real use; a reliable recommendation on speed would require comparable testing. Compare the same RAM/storage tier at checkout, since the two brands’ configurations differ.
