What the extra A27 launch spend gets you
A higher listed refresh rate
The A27 is listed with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, compared with 90Hz on the F17. Both use FHD+ Super AMOLED displays. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother, but it does not by itself establish differences in brightness, color accuracy, or overall display quality.

A different processor, not a proven speed ranking
The F17 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1330, while the A27 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Samsung describes these as 5nm and 4nm chips, respectively. Those names and process descriptions do not amount to a controlled performance comparison; the cited manufacturer material provides no head-to-head benchmark. Choose between them based on your needs and trustworthy testing of the specific workloads you care about, rather than assuming one is faster from the chipset label alone.

The A27’s lowest listed configuration has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, versus 4GB and 128GB on the F17’s entry model. Samsung also lists an A27 with 256GB storage. Check the exact configuration on the product page and retailer listing: a model name alone does not tell you which memory and storage tier is being sold.

What is shared—and what the specifications do not prove
Rear camera hardware
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside 5MP and 2MP rear cameras. That matching module lineup does not prove the phones produce equally good photos; image processing, sensors, lenses, and real-world conditions also matter. The F17 lists a 13MP front camera and the A27 a 12MP one, but megapixel count alone is not a reliable measure of selfie quality.
Battery capacity and charging
Samsung lists a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh for each phone. The F17 specification lists 25W charging. The cited A27 announcement says fast charging but does not establish a wattage, so a direct charging-speed comparison cannot be made from these details. Capacity alone also does not establish equal battery life.

Software-support period
Samsung states six generations of Android/One UI upgrades and six years of security updates for both models. The stated support duration is therefore a shared feature, not a clear reason to choose one over the other. Samsung’s A27 product page specifies security updates through 31 July 2032.
Expandable storage
Samsung lists microSD support up to 2TB for the F17. The cited A27 specifications do not establish whether it supports expandable storage; that absence is not evidence that it does not. Confirm the complete specification for the exact A27 variant before relying on microSD.
