Launch prices: the like-for-like difference was ₹2,500
| RAM and storage | Galaxy F16 5G launch price in India | Galaxy M17e 5G launch price in India | Launch difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 GB / 128 GB | ₹11,499, including a ₹1,000 bank cashback | ₹13,999 | ₹2,500 |
| 6 GB / 128 GB | ₹12,999 | ₹15,499 | ₹2,500 |
| 8 GB / 128 GB | ₹14,499 | Not offered in Samsung’s M17e launch price table | Not comparable |
These are launch prices from Samsung’s India announcements, not live prices. In particular, the F16’s 4 GB launch figure includes the stated bank cashback. Retailer listings can change and may refer to different variants or offer terms, so compare the same RAM/storage configuration and check the seller’s current price, stock, and warranty before buying. 91mobiles’ comparison illustrates that retailer and price snapshots can differ; it should not be treated as a current matched-price quote.
Which display matters more: resolution or refresh rate?
The F16 is the stronger paper choice for resolution and panel type: its 6.7-inch screen is listed as FHD+ sAMOLED. The M17e’s listed display is HD+ IPS LCD, but it refreshes at 120 Hz versus 90 Hz for the F16 in Gadgets 360’s comparison. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations look smoother; the F16’s higher resolution and AMOLED panel are the more relevant advantages if you prioritize a sharper image and panel contrast. These specifications describe different benefits, not a measured display-quality verdict.

Battery, cameras, and performance
Battery
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh battery and 25 W charging for the F16; its M17e announcement lists a 6,000 mAh battery. That is 1,000 mAh more rated capacity for the M17e, but capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts in real use. Samsung’s cited M17e announcement does not state charging wattage, so confirm the exact local model’s charging specifications rather than assuming a figure from a comparison listing.
Cameras
On paper, the F16 has more rear camera modules and a higher-resolution front camera: Samsung describes a 50 MP triple rear camera and 13 MP front camera. Samsung lists a 50 MP main camera, a depth camera, and an 8 MP front camera for the M17e. Module count and megapixels do not prove which phone takes better photos; the cited material does not establish comparative camera test results.

The M17e launched with Android 16 and One UI 8, giving it a newer starting Android generation; Gadgets 360 lists Android 15 and One UI 7 for the F16. The cited announcements establish the promised support duration, not a guaranteed delivery schedule for each update.
