Which phone has the better screen and battery on paper?
The vivo S2 is listed with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz POLED display, compared with the A57’s 6.7-inch 1080 × 2340 120 Hz Super AMOLED Plus listing. That gives vivo the larger, higher-resolution panel on paper. The different display specifications alone do not determine which looks better in person.

How do their cameras differ?
The rear-camera setups serve different priorities. Samsung India lists a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro camera. vivo lists a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera and a 2 MP bokeh camera; its comparison listing does not include an ultrawide. The vivo’s listed 32 MP front camera has more megapixels than the A57’s 12 MP front camera listed by 91mobiles, but megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos.
- For an ultrawide option: the A57 has one in its listed rear-camera system; the vivo comparison does not list one.
- For front-camera resolution: vivo lists 32 MP versus 12 MP for the A57 in the comparison.
- For image quality: the supplied specifications do not establish a controlled head-to-head camera result.
What is the price difference in India?
91mobiles’ India price snapshot, accessed October 7, 2026, listed the Galaxy A57 5G at ₹58,999 and marked it out of stock, while listing the vivo S2 5G at ₹39,900 on Amazon. The same comparison page also said the A57 was “Not Available in any store.” Because availability information is inconsistent and the figures are a dated snapshot, they should not be treated as confirmed checkout prices or a reliable current saving.

Before comparing offers, check the same country and storage configuration, then verify the seller, stock, and final checkout price. For context only, TechRadar’s April 23, 2026 A57 review reported launch prices of US $549 for 8GB/128GB and $609 for 8GB/256GB; UK £529 for 8GB/256GB and £699 for 12GB/512GB; and Australia AU$749 for 8GB/128GB and AU$849 for 8GB/256GB. These are regional A57 launch-review prices, not current prices and not a like-for-like comparison with the India-market vivo S2.
Which should you choose?
- Consider the vivo S2 if its larger listed battery, larger higher-resolution screen, or higher-resolution front camera matches your priorities—and if you can confirm local availability and price.
- Consider the Galaxy A57 if you want the listed ultrawide rear camera or place value on the longer software-support period reported by 91mobiles.
- Compare the exact regional versions before deciding. 91mobiles lists six years of OS and security updates for the A57, versus three years of OS and five years of security updates for the S2; verify the applicable policy with the manufacturer for your market.
vivo also discloses that its IP69 resistance testing used controlled spray conditions and that resistance may diminish with daily use. Treat this as a test-condition disclosure, not a promise that a phone will remain water-resistant indefinitely.
