Their available prices are from different countries, however, so they do not establish a direct price difference: Samsung’s cited starting price is for the US, while OPPO’s prices are for India.
Price difference: why these figures are not a direct comparison
Samsung’s US announcement gives the Galaxy A57 5G a starting price of $549.99, with US availability beginning April 9, 2026. OPPO India lists the Reno16c 5G at the following prices, correct as of September 9, 2026, inclusive of applicable taxes and subject to change:

| Phone and market | Configuration | Official listed price |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy A57 5G, US | Starting configuration; the cited announcement does not specify its storage in this price statement | $549.99 |
| OPPO Reno16c 5G, India | 8GB + 128GB | ₹49,999 |
| OPPO Reno16c 5G, India | 8GB + 256GB | ₹53,999 |
| OPPO Reno16c 5G, India | 12GB + 256GB | ₹59,999 |
Because these are different markets and currencies, converting the Samsung US price into rupees would not produce a like-for-like India price comparison. A current Samsung India price was not established by the cited product information. OPPO’s July 2026 launch announcement gave lower launch prices—₹46,999, ₹49,999 and ₹55,999 for the same three configurations—but those are historical launch figures, not the later-dated prices above. The Reno16c is sold through OPPO Store India, authorised retailers and offline stores; check the seller and configuration before buying.

That is a substantial difference in stated capacity, but it is not a measurement of how long either phone lasts in everyday use. The sources do not provide a matched real-world battery test.
OPPO specifies 80W SUPERVOOC charging and storage-card support. Samsung says the A57 can reach up to 60% in around 30 minutes with Super Fast Charging 2.0; its US announcement says the charger is sold separately. OPPO’s India box listing includes a charger. Box contents can vary by market, so verify the listing for the unit being purchased.

Megapixel counts and lens labels do not establish which phone takes better photos. The available manufacturer information does not provide independent, matched photo samples or camera testing, so choose based on the focal lengths you expect to use rather than treating a megapixel lead as a quality verdict.

Samsung’s US announcement states up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates for the Galaxy A57. Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
- Consider the Reno16c if a larger stated battery, storage-card support, an included charger or a dedicated 3.5x optical telephoto camera matters most. These are specification-based advantages, not proof of longer tested battery life or superior photos.
- Consider the Galaxy A57 if Samsung’s stated support period, its IP68 rating or its 12MP ultra-wide specification fits your priorities. Confirm the terms and configuration for your market.
- Compare actual local offers before deciding. The documented Samsung price is US-only, while the documented OPPO prices are India-only; check the exact storage version, seller and current local price for both phones.
