The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and OPPO Reno15 5G make different hardware bets: the A57 offers IP68 protection and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the India-market Reno15 has a 50MP telephoto camera, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, a larger battery and 80W wired charging. Their listed prices are from different countries and cannot establish which phone costs less. Choose based on the features you value, then compare current prices for the exact model and storage tier in your country.

Which phone is better for cameras?
Choose the Reno15 for more camera hardware options
OPPO India lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto. Its 50MP front camera has autofocus and a stated 100° field of view. That hardware gives the Reno15 a dedicated telephoto option and a notably higher-resolution, wide-field selfie camera on paper.

OPPO Global also promotes 50MP ultra-wide selfie hardware and a 100° field of view for the Reno15 family, but availability depends on the model and market. Do not assume that every Reno15 variant has the same camera arrangement: OPPO’s global announcement assigns some features to particular models, not the whole family. See OPPO’s global Reno15 announcement.
Choose the A57 if an ultra-wide camera matters more than telephoto
Samsung lists a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and 12MP front camera for the U.S. A57. Its listed ultra-wide has more megapixels than the India Reno15’s, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which camera takes better photos. The A57’s listed rear set includes no telephoto camera.

Samsung emphasizes camera processing in its launch announcement, but the cited product specifications do not provide a controlled comparison of image quality. These camera configurations are useful for identifying lens choices, not for declaring a photo-quality winner.
How do the screens and designs compare?
Both phones have 120Hz displays, so the listed maximum refresh rate does not distinguish them. Samsung specifies a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ panel; OPPO India specifies a 6.59-inch LTPS AMOLED panel. Samsung measures its screen diagonally. The available specifications do not establish a winner for brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

Battery, charging and protection
Reno15: larger stated capacity and faster wired charging
OPPO India lists a 6,500mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging for the standard Reno15 5G. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery for the A57 and says its charger is sold separately. Capacity and charging wattage suggest different priorities, but they do not prove how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in everyday use; no comparable battery or charging test is available in the cited material.

Samsung lists IP68 protection for the A57. OPPO India lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 for its Reno15 5G. These are manufacturer-listed ingress-protection ratings, not evidence of identical real-world durability or a guarantee against all liquid or dust damage. Check the warranty terms and local product documentation before relying on water resistance.

RAM, storage and price: compare like with like
The prices announced for these phones are not a head-to-head comparison: Samsung’s figure is a U.S. starting price, while OPPO’s figures are India launch prices for specified storage tiers. Do not subtract or convert them to call either model cheaper. A reliable price verdict needs your country, the exact RAM/storage tier and a current local retailer price.
| Phone and market | Configuration | Announced price and timing |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A57 5G, U.S. | 8GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB; the cited release gives one starting price, not separate prices for each configuration | $549.99 starting price; U.S. sales began April 9, 2026 |

| Reno15 5G, India | 12GB/512GB | INR 53,999 launch price; sales began January 13, 2026 |
The Samsung price is from its March 25, 2026 U.S. launch announcement; OPPO’s tiered prices are from its January 8, 2026 India launch announcement. These are launch figures, not necessarily current transaction prices. Compare current offers in the same country and for equivalent configurations; also check local availability, promotions and retailer terms.
