Price difference in India
The official vivo India store listings available for this comparison showed the X300 FE at ₹84,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹89,999 for 12GB+256GB. The selected 12GB listing displayed an MRP of ₹119,999; that MRP is not the same as the displayed store price. Prices and stock can change. A third-party comparison page showed ₹39,999 for the A55 and ₹94,999 for the X300 FE, but those snapshot figures do not match the official vivo store snapshot. No current official Samsung India selling price was verified here, so subtracting these mixed figures would not give a reliable price difference. Check the same-day price for each exact RAM/storage variant, and distinguish a listed price from MRP, exchange value, bank offer, or retailer promotion. The 91mobiles comparison snapshot is useful only as a dated third-party reference, not a guaranteed current quote. vivo’s X300 FE product parameters also show a 12GB+512GB option, so the configurations displayed across the product and store pages do not fully align.

Display and handling: larger Samsung, sharper compact vivo
The A55’s 6.6-inch screen gives more physical viewing area for video, reading, and split-screen use. The X300 FE is smaller at 6.31 inches, but its listed resolution is higher at 1216 × 2640 rather than 1080 × 2340. Both are rated at 120 Hz. Choose based on whether you value a larger panel or a more compact handset; the diagonal and resolution figures alone do not establish overall display quality.
The listed weights reinforce the size distinction: Samsung specifies 213 g for the A55 and vivo specifies 191 g for the X300 FE. The vivo is the lighter of these two listed models, though comfort also depends on dimensions, case, and personal grip.

Cameras: the vivo adds a telephoto lens
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera, but their supporting cameras differ. Samsung pairs its main camera with a 12 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro camera. vivo lists a 50 MP telephoto with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8 MP ultrawide, and highlights 3× optical zoom. If you often photograph distant subjects or portraits at a tighter framing, a dedicated telephoto camera is a meaningful hardware advantage; the A55 instead includes a macro camera for close-up framing.

Megapixel counts and lens types do not prove which phone takes better photos or video. The cited specifications do not provide matched independent image tests, so a camera-quality winner cannot be established from them. vivo also lists the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 as a compatible accessory that must be purchased separately; it is not part of the phone’s built-in camera hardware.

vivo specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X Ultra memory, and UFS 4.1 storage for the X300 FE. Those are the stated platform and memory/storage technologies, not a comparative benchmark result. The cited A55 specification page does not establish equivalent processor or storage details for this table, so no measured speed comparison is justified here.
Battery and charging
vivo lists a 6500 mAh typical battery capacity and 6350 mAh rated capacity, plus maximum supported charging specifications of 90 W wired and 40 W wireless FlashCharge. These figures describe stated hardware, not independently measured battery life or a guaranteed charging time. Verify the exact regional Galaxy A55 SKU’s charging and battery specifications before making a direct comparison; the evidence cited here does not support a complete A55-versus-vivo battery verdict.

Water and dust resistance
vivo specifies IP68/IP69 and describes controlled-test conditions on its product page. An ingress-protection rating is not a promise that a phone is indestructible, nor is it a reason to deliberately immerse it. The cited Samsung comparison details do not establish an equivalent A55 rating, so check the regional model page and warranty terms if this is a deciding factor.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy A55 if you prefer a larger 6.6-inch display and its live price is substantially lower for the configuration you want. The third-party price snapshot is not a current-price guarantee.
- Choose the vivo X300 FE if you want a smaller, lighter listed handset, a dedicated 50 MP stabilized telephoto camera with stated 3× optical zoom, and the platform and charging hardware vivo specifies. Its official India store listings in this comparison are substantially higher than the third-party A55 snapshot, but that is not a valid same-day price-gap calculation.
Before placing an order, compare the exact RAM and storage tier, seller, warranty, and final checkout price on the same day. Regional software support and warranty should be checked against the official policy for the market where you will use the phone.
