Where the Motorola has the listed hardware edge
Display
Motorola’s listed screen is slightly larger and has substantially more pixels than the Galaxy A37’s comparison-page display. Its maximum listed refresh rate is also higher: up to 144Hz versus 120Hz. That gives the Edge 70 Pro the stronger specification-sheet case for resolution and motion smoothness. Specs do not establish which screen looks better in person; color, brightness and viewing preferences matter too.
Battery and charging
The Edge 70 Pro is listed with a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W wired charging, compared with 5000mAh and 45W for the Galaxy A37 in the comparison. Motorola also lists 5W reverse charging. These are capacity and charging ratings, not a promise of a particular screen-on time or charging duration: actual endurance and charging can vary with settings, network conditions, temperature and use.

Camera hardware
Both phones are listed with a 50MP main camera. Motorola specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) on its main camera and lists a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus and macro capability; the Galaxy A37 comparison lists an 8MP ultrawide and a separate 5MP macro camera. For selfies, Motorola lists a 50MP autofocus camera against Samsung’s 12MP camera. The higher megapixel counts do not prove that Motorola takes better photos. Image processing, focus, low-light handling and video quality require sample-based comparisons, which are not established by these specifications.

The comparison lists Samsung’s Exynos 1480 and Motorola’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme. The processor names alone do not establish how much faster either phone will feel in a particular app or game; performance also depends on software, cooling and workload. No benchmark result here should be treated as a guarantee of everyday speed.

Where the Galaxy A37 may make more sense
Lower listed India price
The Amazon Galaxy A37 listing is ₹3,000 below the Flipkart Motorola listing in the comparison, although the different storage configurations mean the gap is not a controlled price comparison. If the A37’s price remains lower for the exact SKU you want, it may be the more affordable choice.
Reported software-support advantage
91mobiles reports six years of OS and security updates for the Galaxy A37, compared with three years of OS updates and five years of security updates for the Edge 70 Pro. Motorola’s EMEA page describes OS upgrades as “Up to 3 years” plus security patches. Support terms can depend on region and exact model; check each manufacturer’s current local commitment before buying, especially if you intend to keep the phone for several years.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if the larger, sharper, faster-refresh display, bigger listed battery, higher wired charging rating, or higher-resolution front and ultrawide cameras are your priorities—and the current price for your exact configuration works for you.
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G if its current price is meaningfully lower for the configuration you need, or if the longer update period reported by 91mobiles matters more to you than Motorola’s listed hardware advantages.
- Compare local versions before ordering if you are outside the India price comparison or buying an import. Motorola explicitly notes market variation; verify network bands, SIM support, storage, charger-in-box status, warranty and the applicable software policy.
