If you want a larger Samsung phone and the lower reported U.S. launch price, choose the Galaxy A37 5G. If you prefer a more compact 6.3-inch phone, Google’s camera features, wireless charging, or a clearly stated seven-year update policy, the Pixel 10a is the better fit. Compare current local prices and storage options before deciding: the prices below are launch figures, not guaranteed current offers.

Choose the Pixel 10a for a compact display and Google features
The Pixel 10a’s documented 6.3-inch display makes it the smaller option in this pairing. It is a better fit if you want Google’s camera and AI features, Qi-certified wireless charging, or an explicit seven-year commitment covering OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.

How to compare software support fairly
Google specifies seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the Pixel 10a. Samsung’s wording for the new A series is “up to six generations of OS upgrades and long-term security support.” These are not identical measures: one is expressed in years and names several update types, while the other counts OS generations and separately promises long-term security support.

Battery capacity is close; runtime is not established
The listed typical capacities are 5,000 mAh for the A37 and 5,100 mAh for the Pixel 10a. Google also claims 30+ hours of Pixel 10a battery life, but that manufacturer figure is not a matched test against the A37. Capacity and a manufacturer endurance claim do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
If wireless charging matters, Google explicitly lists Qi-certified charging for the Pixel 10a. The cited Samsung announcement does not establish wireless-charging support for the A37.

What the camera information can—and cannot—tell you
Google lists a 48 MP wide and 13 MP ultrawide rear camera system for the Pixel 10a and highlights Google camera and AI features. Samsung calls the A37 camera upgraded, but the cited announcement does not offer enough comparable detail to declare a hardware winner.

Check before buying
- Compare current prices in your country; the U.S. launch prices do not predict today’s deals or prices elsewhere.
- Match storage capacity before comparing prices, and confirm the exact local model and carrier compatibility.
- Check the local product listing for screen dimensions, resolution, and availability.
- Review the update policy and current software status for the specific model, country, and carrier.
- If camera quality or battery runtime is decisive, look for independent comparisons rather than inferring a winner from specifications.
