On listed resolution and refresh rate, the vivo T5 Pro leads: its 2800 × 1260 panel is specified at up to 144 Hz, compared with the Galaxy A36’s 1080 × 2340 panel at up to 120 Hz. The T5 Pro is also listed with a slightly larger 6.83-inch display, while Samsung describes the A36 as 6.7-inch-class.

Those figures do not establish brightness, color accuracy, calibration, outdoor readability or which screen looks better to you. If display quality is decisive, look for independent measurements and compare the phones under similar viewing conditions rather than relying on refresh rate alone.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers show
The vivo T5 Pro lists a 9,020 mAh battery and 90 W charging; Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 45 W charging for the Galaxy A36. The vivo has the higher stated capacity and charging wattage, but neither figure is a measured screen-on time or a guaranteed charging duration. Actual endurance and charging time depend on usage and test conditions, so use same-condition independent tests if those outcomes matter more than the specifications.
How do the camera systems differ?
Galaxy A36 5G
Samsung lists three rear-camera roles: a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 5 MP macro camera. That gives the specification sheet more explicitly listed focal-use options.

vivo lists a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera and a 2 MP bokeh camera. Its front camera is listed at 32 MP, compared with 12 MP for the A36.
Camera count and megapixels do not establish image quality. The listed specifications do not tell you how either phone handles low light, moving subjects, skin tones, video stabilization or detail. Compare sample photos and video from both phones if camera results are a primary reason for choosing.
Software support: Samsung states a specific commitment
Samsung promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A36. Its India product page gives March 31, 2031 as the security-update validity end date. The official vivo material cited for this comparison does not establish a matching support-duration figure. That is an evidence gap, not proof that the T5 Pro receives no software updates. Buyers who prioritize a clearly dated support commitment should verify vivo’s current India policy for this model before deciding.
What is the price difference in India?
The figures available here cannot be treated as a current, like-for-like price difference. Samsung’s ₹32,999 (8GB+128GB) and ₹35,999 (8GB+256GB) are India launch prices announced in 2025. The vivo India Official Store displayed ₹41,999 for the 8GB+128GB T5 Pro when observed on October 7, 2026; the store also lists 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. Store listings can change, and the vivo amount is not an Amazon price or a guaranteed market-wide price.
Before buying, check the same retailer and date for the same RAM and storage configuration, then account for any currently available offers. Do not subtract the figures above and present the result as today’s price gap.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the vivo T5 Pro if its higher listed display resolution and refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity or higher charging wattage best match your priorities—and verify real-world screen, battery and charging results if those are decisive.
- Consider the Galaxy A36 if a listed ultra-wide and macro camera setup, OIS on the main rear camera, or Samsung’s stated six-generation OS and six-year security-update commitment is more important to you.
- Compare camera samples or performance tests before choosing on photo quality or speed. The cited official specifications do not establish a comparative camera or performance winner, and Samsung’s cited India product page does not name the A36 chipset.

In short, the listed hardware favors vivo for screen figures and battery/charging specifications, while Samsung provides a more explicitly described rear-camera range and support timeline. The better buy depends on which of those factors—and the live like-for-like price—matters most to you.
