There is not yet enough verified information to make a reliable specs or price comparison. Samsung confirms the Galaxy A36 5G, but the official POCO pages available for this matchup identify a different-sounding model, POCO X8—not “POCO X8 Power 5G.” Until the exact POCO handset is confirmed, its listed specifications and reported price should not be treated as facts about the phone in the title.
What is confirmed about the Galaxy A36 5G?
Samsung’s India product page lists these specifications for the Galaxy A36 5G. They are manufacturer claims for that market; check the local listing before applying them to another region.

The official POCO/Xiaomi specification page found for this comparison names its product POCO X8, not POCO X8 Power 5G. It lists a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 120 Hz refresh, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, an 8,340 mAh typical battery and 67 W charging. It also says a power adapter is not included in the box. Those details belong to the POCO X8 named on that page; they cannot safely be transferred to a handset called POCO X8 Power 5G without confirmation that the names refer to the same model.

The official POCO X8 specifications page and POCO’s X8 FAQ both use the POCO X8 name. Neither establishes that POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power 5G are the same phone. Avoid relying on an apparent name match or third-party listing alone.
Are the reported prices comparable?
Third-party comparison listings report ₹31,999 for the Galaxy A36 and ₹35,999 for POCO X8 Power 5G, and one listing assigns the POCO model a September 4, 2026 launch date. These are database snapshots, not verified live prices. The available information does not confirm the POCO model’s identity, equivalent RAM and storage configurations, retailer, stock status or offer terms. Consequently, the apparent ₹4,000 gap is not a verified current price difference.

Before comparing prices, check both exact model listings in the same country and retailer context, and match their RAM and storage tiers. A difference between mismatched configurations or temporary offers would not be a like-for-like comparison.
