The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G and Motorola Edge 60 Pro differ most clearly in stated battery capacity and charging: Samsung lists a typical 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging support, while Motorola lists 6,000mAh, with 90W wired and 15W wireless charging on its UK specification page. That does not establish which lasts longer in real use, and the regional charging figures may not apply to every version. A current, like-for-like price difference is also unresolved: Samsung’s available India prices are launch prices from March 2025, not verified current listings.
At a glance: the main specification differences
| Buyer concern | Samsung Galaxy A36 5G | Motorola Edge 60 Pro | What the evidence supports |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | Samsung lists a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ Super AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. | The retrieved Motorola specification excerpt does not provide full display details. | A direct display comparison needs the full official specification for the exact local Motorola variant. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP + 8MP + 5MP; Samsung lists optical image stabilization (OIS) for the main camera. | Motorola describes a pro-grade camera system, but the retrieved specification excerpt does not give a complete sensor-by-sensor breakdown. | Available evidence does not establish which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality. |
| Battery capacity | 5,000mAh typical, according to Samsung’s India specification. | 6,000mAh, according to Motorola’s India specification. | Motorola lists the larger capacity; that is not an independent battery-life result. |
| Charging | Samsung’s India launch announcement lists 45W charging support. | Motorola’s UK specification page lists 90W wired and 15W wireless charging. | These are region-specific manufacturer figures. Confirm the local model and included or compatible accessories. |
| Dust and water protection | Not established in the Samsung specification extract cited here. | Motorola India lists IP68 and IP69 ratings. | The Motorola rating is a manufacturer specification, not a warranty promise for accidental water damage. |
| Price | Samsung announced India launch prices in March 2025 for three configurations. | A current, like-for-like price is not established by the available official information. | There is no supported current price winner without dated listings for both phones in the same market and storage tier. |
Which phone has the bigger battery, and which charges faster?
On stated capacity, the Edge 60 Pro is ahead: Motorola India lists 6,000mAh, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh typical rating for the Galaxy A36 5G. Battery capacity is not the same as runtime. Screen settings, network conditions, software, workload and other factors affect how long a phone lasts, and the figures here are manufacturer specifications rather than results from a matched independent test.

Charging specifications also favor the Motorola figures available for comparison, but the regional qualification matters. Samsung’s India launch announcement says the A36 supports 45W charging. Motorola’s UK specification page lists 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging for the Edge 60 Pro. Check the specification for the exact regional SKU and whether the charging accessories you need are available or included; the cited regional pages do not establish that every market receives identical support.

Display
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for the Galaxy A36 5G. The Motorola specification excerpt available here does not expose its complete display details, so a direct panel comparison would be incomplete. Verify the exact Edge 60 Pro sold in your market before choosing based on display size, resolution, panel type or refresh rate.

- Please note, this device does not support eSIM. This device is compatible with T-Mobile networks and its MVNOs in the United States, carrier compatibility, activation, and network performance may vary depending on IMEI acceptance policies, carrier requirements, regional network support, and available frequency bands.
- NOT compatible with the MVNO's (Spectrum, Cricket, Xfinity, H2O, Visible, etc.), may not recognize international IMEI numbers for activation. Carrier compatibility is not guaranteed in all areas of the United States. Please verify compatibility with your carrier prior to purchase. No U.S. manufacturer warranty; seller return policy applies.
- The included 25W Fast Charger is a generic accessory and is not a Samsung-branded charger, 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz, 1080x2340px, Fingerprint (under display, optical), IP67 dust and water resistance
- 256GB, 8GB, No SD Card Slot, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4nm), Octa-core, Adreno 710 GPU, Android 15, up to 6 major Android upgrades, One UI 7
- Rear Camera: 50MP, f/1.8 + 8MP, f/2.2 + 5MP, f/2.4, Front Camera: 12MP, f/2.2, 5000mAh Battery, Bluetooth 5.4
Rear cameras
Samsung lists a 50MP main camera with OIS, plus 8MP and 5MP rear cameras. Motorola’s announcement describes a “pro-grade” camera system, but that marketing description and the retrieved specification excerpt do not supply a full sensor-by-sensor comparison. The evidence therefore does not establish which phone produces better photos or video. Sensor resolution is only one specification; it cannot by itself prove image quality or camera superiority.
What do the water- and dust-resistance ratings tell you?
Motorola’s India specification lists IP68 and IP69 protection for the Edge 60 Pro. Those are manufacturer ratings, not a guarantee against every kind of exposure, and they do not establish that accidental liquid damage is covered by warranty. The Samsung specification extract cited here does not establish an equivalent Galaxy A36 rating, so it would be misleading to treat the comparison as a confirmed rating-versus-rating result.

What is the price difference?
A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures. Samsung Newsroom India announced these Galaxy A36 5G prices on 3 March 2025, before the launch offers it also described:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- ₹32,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
- ₹35,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
- ₹38,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
These are dated India launch prices, not verified current street prices. The available official information does not establish a current Edge 60 Pro price matched to the same Indian storage tier, seller type and purchase date. Comparing one of these launch figures with an unverified Motorola listing would produce a misleading difference.

- The included 25W Fast Charger is a generic accessory and is not a Samsung-branded charger, 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz, 1080x2340px, Fingerprint (under display, optical), IP67 dust and water resistance. This device does not support E-SIM
- International Model – Global Connectivity - This device is compatible with T-Mobile, networks in the United States. Compatible with AT&T and Verizon on 4G LTE. Not compatible with most MVNO carriers that use Verizon's network. MVNO's like Metro, Boost, Mint etc. require IMEI activation. Its MVNO's in the U.S., as some carriers may not recognize International IMEI's as Compatible. (No U.S. manufacturer warranty; Seller Return policy applies.)

For a fair comparison, check both phones in the same country on the same date, match RAM and storage as closely as possible, and record the seller, condition and applicable offer. If you cannot verify comparable listings, treat the price comparison as unsettled rather than naming a cheaper phone.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Edge 60 Pro if the larger manufacturer-rated battery, the listed high-speed charging options, or its India-listed IP68/IP69 ratings are priorities. Confirm those specifications and charging accessories for the version sold where you live.
- Consider the Galaxy A36 5G if its confirmed 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display and listed rear-camera hardware match what you want, or if you find a current offer that makes it better value for your needs. The cited Samsung prices are historical launch figures, not a current value verdict.
- Do not choose on a supposed camera or endurance winner based only on the specifications here: a matched independent camera or battery test is not established.
