In the India listings captured on October 4, 2026, the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G (8 GB/128 GB) was listed at ₹33,999 on Samsung India, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 SE 5G (6 GB/128 GB) was listed at ₹25,999 on the Xiaomi India Store. That is an observed ₹8,000 difference, but the phones have different RAM capacities and live prices can change. The clearest verified advantages for the A36 are its 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, 45 W charging, IP67 rating and Samsung’s stated software-support commitment; several Redmi specifications below come from 91mobiles rather than an opened Xiaomi spec sheet.
India price difference: ₹8,000 in the captured listings

Xiaomi India Store showed the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Crimson Reserve at ₹25,999 for 6 GB/128 GB, against a displayed MRP of ₹34,999. The observed difference between those listings is ₹8,000.

| Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Crimson Reserve, 6 GB/128 GB | ₹25,999 | ₹34,999 | Xiaomi India Store catalog |
This is not a like-for-like memory comparison: the A36 listing has 2 GB more RAM. The figures also do not account for changing offers, bank discounts, exchange reductions, or other configurations. A separate 91mobiles comparison result displayed ₹31,999 for the A36 at Flipkart and ₹24,700 for the Redmi at Amazon; those are different seller and price snapshots, not alternatives to the official-store figures above.

Display: A36’s 120 Hz specification is official
Galaxy A36 5G
Samsung India specifies a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1080 × 2340 resolution. That gives the A36 a clearly documented high-refresh-rate panel in this comparison.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G
91mobiles reports a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel for the Redmi. The cited Xiaomi catalog confirms the phone listing and configuration but does not provide a full spec sheet, so the screen size and panel details here remain third-party reported. The available evidence does not establish the Redmi refresh rate or resolution.
Performance and memory: same reported chipset, different listed RAM
91mobiles lists Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and a 4 nm process for both phones. This is a third-party comparison result, not a performance test, and does not establish that either phone is faster in real use. The comparison page reports A36 RAM options of 8 GB and 12 GB, and Redmi options of 6 GB and 8 GB. The prices captured from the official stores are for 8 GB/128 GB on Samsung and 6 GB/128 GB on Xiaomi, so compare the exact memory configuration and current offer before treating the lower Redmi price as a like-for-like saving.

Software support: Samsung’s promise is explicit
Samsung India states that the A36 will receive “6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.” This is Samsung’s published commitment for the Galaxy A36 5G on the cited India page.
91mobiles reports four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G. The cited Xiaomi catalog did not expose official support terms, so that duration should not be treated as independently confirmed Xiaomi policy. If software-support length is a deciding factor, check Xiaomi’s official product information for the exact Indian model before buying.

Galaxy A36 5G
Samsung India lists a 50 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP rear camera system with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 12 MP front camera. OIS is a concrete specification, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; the available sources do not provide a comparable independent camera test.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G
91mobiles reports a 50 MP primary rear camera and a 20 MP front camera. The cited Xiaomi catalog does not confirm those details or specify the complete rear-camera arrangement, so avoid assuming the Redmi’s camera system is otherwise directly comparable to Samsung’s listed three-camera setup.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesBattery, charging, protection and what is in the box
Galaxy A36 5G
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 45 W charging. Samsung’s buying page says a travel adapter is not included in the box, so factor in the possibility of needing a compatible charger if you do not already have one. Samsung also specifies IP67 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the A36.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G
The cited Xiaomi listing does not establish the Redmi’s battery capacity, charging rate, IP rating, glass protection, or included accessories. Those details should be checked on Xiaomi’s official product information for the exact Indian variant rather than inferred from the price or from another Redmi model.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy A36 5G if
- You want a Samsung-specified 120 Hz Super AMOLED display.
- You value an explicit six-generation OS-upgrade and six-year security-update promise.
- IP67 protection, Gorilla Glass Victus+, OIS, or 45 W charging are important to your decision.
- You prefer the captured 8 GB/128 GB configuration and are willing to pay more than the listed Redmi 6 GB/128 GB price.
Consider the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G if
- The lower observed official-store price is the priority and 6 GB/128 GB suits your needs.
- You are comfortable checking Xiaomi’s official specifications for the features not established by the cited catalog.
- You want to compare the Redmi’s exact live configuration and support terms with the Samsung before deciding.
Do not use the ₹8,000 snapshot by itself as proof that the Redmi is better value: RAM differs, offers change, and several Redmi specifications in this comparison are third-party reported rather than confirmed by the cited Xiaomi listing.
