Galaxy A36: choose AMOLED
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel at 120 Hz. If you prioritize an AMOLED display, the A36 is the clear choice on the specifications available here. The listed resolution is 1080 × 2340.

realme P4x: choose the higher refresh-rate figure
The P4x is listed with a slightly larger, 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD and a 144 Hz refresh rate. That is a higher refresh-rate specification than the A36’s 120 Hz, but refresh rate alone does not establish overall screen quality. The panel types differ, so do not treat the larger number as proof that the P4x display is better in every respect.

Battery capacity and charging: P4x has the advantage on paper
realme lists a 7,000 mAh battery, 45 W charging and bypass charging for the P4x. Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh battery for the A36 and states up to 29 hours of video playback. Samsung’s playback figure is a manufacturer claim, not an independent comparison with the P4x; battery capacity and that playback estimate are different kinds of evidence.
For buyers prioritizing the larger stated battery capacity and documented charging features, the P4x is the stronger specification-sheet fit. The figures here do not establish how long either phone lasts under a particular person’s daily use.
Camera specifications: what the listed megapixels do—and do not—tell you
Samsung’s official India listing specifies a 50 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP rear-camera array and a 12 MP front camera for the A36. The P4x’s 50 MP main rear and 8 MP front-camera figures come from 91mobiles, a secondary comparison source; the official camera details were not established here on a matched basis.

The A36 has the higher listed front-camera resolution, but megapixel counts do not determine image quality by themselves. These specifications are not a photo-quality comparison, so they cannot establish which phone takes better pictures.
Price difference in India
Smartprix’s comparison listing, last updated September 24, 2026, showed the Galaxy A36 5G at ₹27,965 and the realme P4x 5G at ₹21,939—a ₹6,026 difference in that listing. Treat these as dated observed prices, not current or guaranteed prices. Street prices can change, and a meaningful comparison depends on matching storage and memory configurations and checking the seller’s live offer.
Handling and size
Samsung lists the A36 at 195 g and 7.4 mm thick; realme lists the P4x at 208 g and 8.39 mm. On these manufacturer specifications, the A36 is lighter and thinner. If one-handed comfort or pocket bulk is important, those measurements may matter alongside the P4x’s larger screen and battery.

91mobiles reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 2,690 for the A36 and 2,994 for the P4x. It also reports battery-test results of 9 hours 21 minutes for the A36 and 17 hours 38 minutes for the P4x.
