The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G stands out for its documented IP67 rating, microSD expansion, and a stated software-support commitment. Neither phone is the automatic winner: decide which features matter most, then compare the same RAM and storage configuration at checkout.

For example, display size and refresh rate do not settle which screen looks better, and battery capacity or charging wattage does not establish real-world endurance or charging time. Which phone has the better display?
The realme P4’s 6.77-inch display is larger than the A35’s 6.6-inch-class screen, and its listed maximum refresh rate is 144Hz versus Samsung’s 120Hz. Those figures favor the P4 if you specifically want more screen area or a higher listed refresh ceiling. They do not by themselves prove better brightness, color, outdoor visibility, or overall image quality; manufacturer brightness claims can also rely on different test modes.

On paper, the realme P4 leads: it lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 80W charging, compared with the A35’s 5000mAh typical battery and 25W charging. The realme package list includes an 80W adapter. Samsung’s India product page says its 25W wall charger is sold separately.

These are capacity and charger specifications, not a head-to-head battery test. Screen use, settings, network conditions, and other factors affect endurance and charging, so the figures cannot tell you exactly how long either phone will last or take to recharge.
How do the cameras compare?
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide or wide-angle camera. The A35 also lists a 5MP macro camera, while the P4 lists a 16MP front camera; 91mobiles lists the A35 front camera at 13MP. These are hardware-resolution differences only. They are not evidence that one phone takes better photos or selfies, and no comparative camera test is established here.

Does the Galaxy A35 have expandable storage?
Yes. Samsung lists microSD-card support up to 1TB for the Galaxy A35, a useful option if you keep a large local library of photos, video, or other files. The reviewed realme P4 specification page does not establish whether it supports removable storage, so do not assume either support or lack of support based on that page alone.

Which phone has better water protection?
The A35 has a documented IP67 rating. Samsung says its test covers immersion in up to 1 metre of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. The company also warns that resistance may diminish with normal wear and advises against beach or pool use. The reviewed P4 specification page does not establish a comparable water-resistance rating, so there is no supported like-for-like rating comparison.

How long will each phone receive software updates?
Samsung says the Galaxy A35 receives up to four generations of OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates. Those are maximum commitments subject to Samsung’s policy, availability, and timing qualifications. realme lists realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 for the P4, but the reviewed specification page does not give a comparable update-support duration. That leaves the duration comparison unsettled by the available manufacturer specifications.
What is the price difference in India?

At launch in 2024, Samsung Newsroom India announced the A35 at ₹27,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹30,999 for 8GB/256GB. Those prices included ₹3,000 cashback on eligible HDFC, OneCard, and IDFC First Bank cards; a no-cost EMI alternative was also specified. They are historical launch terms, not current price guidance.
Because the dated observations do not match in seller, time, or confirmed configuration, they do not establish a reliable price gap. Check the exact model, RAM and storage, stock, offers, and final checkout price before deciding which costs less.

Choose the realme P4 if
- You prioritize a larger display and higher listed refresh rate.
- You want the larger listed battery and faster charging specification.
- You have checked the price and confirmed that the listing is for the P4 5G variant you intend to buy.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy A35 if
- You want a documented IP67 rating, with Samsung’s stated test conditions and limitations in mind.
- You need the option to expand local storage with a microSD card up to 1TB.
- You value Samsung’s published maximum OS-upgrade and security-update commitment.
