Which display is the better fit?
Samsung: a listed AMOLED panel and refresh rate
Samsung’s UK specifications list a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. Those details make the A35’s screen easier to assess on paper, but they do not establish that it looks better than Motorola’s display in a direct comparison.

Motorola: a curved-screen design
Motorola’s launch material emphasizes the Edge 60 Fusion’s quad-curved display. That is a design distinction, not a measured picture-quality advantage. If screen shape is important to you, inspect the exact regional model in person or check its local specification page before buying.
Camera specifications are not camera results
The A35’s listed rear-camera setup is 50 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP, with OIS listed by Samsung. Motorola’s launch material highlights a 50 MP main camera. These module counts and resolutions do not show which phone takes better photos: no matched camera test is available here. Consider independent comparisons using the exact regional models if camera quality is your deciding factor.

Battery capacity versus charging speed
Samsung lists a typical 5,000 mAh battery for the A35, while Motorola announces 68 W TurboPower charging for the Edge 60 Fusion. Capacity and charging rate measure different things: neither establishes which phone lasts longer on a charge. A standardized, matched battery-endurance comparison is not available here.

Samsung India lists IP67 for its A35 variant. Motorola’s regional specification page lists IP68, and Motorola’s global help documentation describes IP68 and IP69 testing. Motorola says the laboratory rating permits submersion in still, fresh water up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes and protection against powerful, high-temperature water jets for up to 30 seconds; exposure beyond those conditions is outside warranty coverage. These ratings are not a promise that either phone cannot be damaged by water or dust. Check the rating and warranty terms for the exact unit sold locally.

Software support: Samsung states a policy; check Motorola locally
Samsung’s UK business page says the A35 can receive up to four generations of OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates. Samsung notes that policy may change and timing or features may vary. A directly comparable official Edge 60 Fusion commitment was not established in the cited material, so check Motorola’s current policy for your country and model before treating support length as a deciding factor.

The available price figures cannot answer what either phone costs today in your market. Samsung’s $399.99 figure is a May 2024 US suggested price for an unlocked 128 GB A35; TechRadar’s £299 figure is July 2025 UK reporting for a 256 GB Edge 60 Fusion. They differ by currency, date, storage and source type, so subtracting them would produce a misleading result.

- Choose one country and compare phones sold through local retailers in that market.
- Match storage capacity where possible, and check the exact model number and included configuration.
- Record each current price with the retailer and date, and compare the same purchase conditions, including whether either price depends on a promotion or trade-in.
- Subtract the lower matched price from the higher one. Treat the result as a snapshot, since offers can change.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Galaxy A35 5G if Samsung’s documented 6.6-inch AMOLED, up-to-120 Hz display, listed 5,000 mAh typical battery, or stated update policy best matches your priorities.
- Consider the Edge 60 Fusion if you prefer its quad-curved-screen design or value Motorola’s announced 68 W charging, after confirming the local variant’s specifications and resistance rating.
- Make price the tie-breaker only after comparing current offers for equivalent storage in the same country.
