The Moto G67 Power 5G is the stronger fit if you want a larger listed battery, a 120Hz display, stereo speakers and faster listed charging. The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is the better match if you prefer Super AMOLED, optical image stabilization on the main camera, a lighter body and a longer stated software-support commitment. There is no reliable like-for-like current price gap in the available India-market snapshots, so compare the exact RAM and storage configuration at checkout.
How the India-market specifications compare
These are the 5G models. Motorola cautions that specifications may vary by market; the Moto figures below are from its India support listing for the G67 Power, not the standard Moto G67.

What the differences mean in everyday use
Display: AMOLED contrast or 120Hz refresh rate
Samsung specifies a Super AMOLED panel, while Motorola lists an FHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. Those are different strengths: the panel type may matter more to someone who prefers AMOLED, while the listed refresh rate is a concrete Moto specification. The cited material does not establish a Galaxy A17 refresh rate or matched brightness and outdoor-legibility results, so it cannot settle which screen looks better overall.

Battery capacity is not a runtime result
The Moto’s listed 7,000mAh battery is larger than the Galaxy’s 5,000mAh battery. That is a capacity difference, not proof of a particular number of extra hours: no head-to-head battery-runtime figure is established here. Motorola lists 30W charging capability, compared with Samsung’s 25W listing. Check the exact retail box and charger compatibility before buying; Samsung says its listed box includes the phone, data cable and ejection pin, but not a travel adapter.
Camera hardware does not establish image quality
The clearest documented distinction is that Samsung lists optical image stabilization (OIS) for the Galaxy A17’s 50MP main camera. Motorola lists a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide, compared with Samsung’s 5MP ultra-wide. Those specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video; no comparative camera testing is available in the cited material.

Software support and physical size
Samsung announced six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A17 5G. Its product page separately gives a security-update validity date of 31 August 2031; that date is not a promise that every update will arrive on a particular day. Motorola’s India support page lists one OS upgrade and three years of security maintenance releases for the Moto G67 Power. On listed dimensions, the Galaxy is 18g lighter and 1.1mm thinner. These manufacturer figures indicate a size difference, not a hands-on comfort assessment.

- 6GB/128GB: ₹18,999
- 8GB/128GB: ₹20,499
- 8GB/256GB: ₹23,499
These are historical launch prices, not live offers. A later Samsung India buying-page search result displayed ₹26,999 for the 6GB/128GB configuration with ₹32,999 crossed out; the buying interface may not have had that configuration available. A Smartprix search-result snapshot showed lowest-found prices of ₹18,500 for the Moto G67 Power and ₹22,499 for the Galaxy A17 5G, but did not establish a matching RAM/storage configuration, seller or offer for those figures. They therefore do not support a dependable current price gap.
Check the exact variant, seller and checkout total for both phones before deciding. Samsung’s launch prices are useful historical reference points, but current availability and prices can change.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Moto G67 Power 5G if you value its larger listed battery, 120Hz LCD, stereo speakers and 30W charging capability.
- Choose the Galaxy A17 5G if Super AMOLED, OIS on the main camera, a lighter listed body and Samsung’s longer announced software-support policy matter more to you.
- Compare current checkout prices before paying if value is the deciding factor; the available price snapshots are not a verified, like-for-like live comparison.
Neither set of specifications establishes real-world battery endurance, camera superiority or comparative performance. Treat those as unanswered by the cited manufacturer specifications rather than assuming the higher number or named component guarantees the better result.
