The vivo X300 FE sits in a substantially higher hardware tier than the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G: it has a sharper 120 Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, stabilized main and telephoto cameras, a larger battery and faster charging on paper. The Galaxy A06 5G’s strongest documented advantage is its lower India launch pricing and Samsung’s stated software-update commitment. Their prices below are not a like-for-like current comparison: the Samsung figures are from February 2025, while vivo’s is a changing store listing.
How much do the Galaxy A06 5G and vivo X300 FE cost?
The available India price figures show the phones in very different price tiers, but they come from different dates and price types. Samsung’s figures are historical launch prices; vivo’s is a storefront listing observed in 2026 for one configuration. Do not treat their difference as a current price gap.

Which phone has the better display?
The A06 5G gives you the larger screen diagonal at 6.7 inches. The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch panel is smaller, but its AMOLED technology, 2640×1216 resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate make it the higher-spec display. The Samsung panel is listed as HD+ at 1600×720 and 90 Hz. Choose based on whether screen size or resolution, panel type and refresh rate matter more to you; specifications do not by themselves establish how each screen looks in every setting.
How do their performance and cameras compare?
The published processor specifications place the X300 FE in a higher tier: it uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the A06 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300. No directly comparable benchmark results are established here, so the chip names should not be converted into a claimed speed difference in particular apps or games.

- Full Diagnostic Testing: Successfully passed a full diagnostic test which ensures like-new functionality and removal of any prior-user personal information

The camera setups differ more in versatility than in headline main-camera resolution. The A06 5G lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth camera. The X300 FE adds a 50 MP telephoto camera and an 8 MP wide camera, and lists optical image stabilization (OIS) for both its main and telephoto cameras. Its front camera is listed at 50 MP with autofocus, versus 8 MP on the Samsung. Those specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos: that would require controlled image testing.

By manufacturer-listed capacities, the X300 FE has a 6,500 mAh typical battery (6,350 mAh rated), compared with 5,000 mAh typical (4,855 mAh rated) for the A06 5G. The X300 FE is also listed with 90 W FlashCharge, while the A06 5G supports 25 W charging. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish actual runtime or charge time under a particular workload. Confirm the charger and cable included with the specific regional model you buy; Samsung’s India product page says its 25 W wall charger is sold separately.

What do the IP ratings mean for durability?
The India specifications list IP54 for the Galaxy A06 5G and IP68 and IP69 for the vivo X300 FE. These are different manufacturer-stated protection ratings, not a promise that either phone is indestructible or suitable for every exposure. Samsung specifically cautions that the A06 5G is not advised for beach or pool use and that resistance may diminish with wear. Follow each maker’s care guidance rather than treating an IP rating as permission to submerge a phone.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone has the clearer software-update commitment?
Samsung’s February 2025 launch announcement says the Galaxy A06 5G is eligible for up to four generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates, subject to Samsung’s market and policy caveats. It launched with Android 15 and One UI 7. The vivo India specifications page lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the X300 FE, but it does not establish a comparable duration for OS or security updates. An OS version identifies software at a point in time; it is not, by itself, an update-support promise.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Galaxy A06 5G if you want a larger screen, a lower-cost hardware tier, or value Samsung’s stated update duration. Use current local pricing rather than assuming the 2025 launch price is still available.
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if its higher-tier listed hardware fits your budget and you prefer a more compact, higher-resolution AMOLED display, a telephoto camera with OIS, or higher stated battery and charging specifications.
- Before deciding on value, compare current prices for the storage configurations you would actually buy. The cited Samsung launch prices and vivo store snapshot are not contemporaneous or equivalent listings.
