What the G80SH is—and what it is not
The 32-inch G80SH is a 16:9, 3840 × 2160 (4K) QD-OLED monitor with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. RTINGS identifies its panel as fourth-generation Tandem QD-OLED and reports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Its tested findings apply to the 32-inch model, not automatically to the separate 27-inch G80SH.

Do not confuse it with the Samsung Odyssey G80HS S32HG80: that similarly named model is a 6K IPS monitor, not this 4K QD-OLED. The US product code RTINGS lists for the 32-inch G80SH is LS32HG802SNXZA, but suffixes can differ by region or seller. Check the complete code on a listing before relying on specifications. How it performs for gaming
4K detail at a high refresh rate
The defining combination is 4K resolution and up to 240Hz, with a near-instantaneous response time and low input lag in RTINGS’ assessment. The monitor supports common variable-refresh-rate (VRR) formats, which can help synchronize the display with a changing game frame rate.

VRR flicker is a real caveat
RTINGS reports distracting VRR flicker in dark games when frame rates change. This makes the monitor a less straightforward fit for a PC that frequently swings between frame rates, particularly in dark scenes. VRR support does not mean flicker is absent in every game or under every workload.
For a comparison within the same display class, RTINGS treats the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen3 as a competing 32-inch 4K/240Hz QD-OLED. The practical differences include the coating and workflow features: Samsung’s matte surface handles reflections better, while the ASUS has a glossy coating and a KVM switch that Samsung lacks. RTINGS says the glossy ASUS produces a clearer image and better preserves low black levels in bright rooms. How the matte screen behaves in different rooms
RTINGS describes deep blacks, bright highlights in dark rooms, vivid color and no haloing. In brighter surroundings, however, the black level of QD-OLED can rise and appear purple. The matte finish reduces reflections, but it does not remove this ambient-light effect.

Is it suitable for office and creative work?
The 32-inch 4K canvas gives room for multitasking, and RTINGS describes text clarity as excellent overall. It also notes visible fringing around letters from the OLED subpixel layout, which some users may notice during close reading or detailed interface work. The issue is worth checking in person if text is your main use.
For creative work, RTINGS reports good out-of-box accuracy, but colors can be slightly oversaturated and the monitor has no dedicated sRGB mode. If accurate saturation or white balance is important, calibration may be needed. Long editing or office sessions also mean more persistent menus, taskbars and other static elements, so OLED burn-in risk deserves consideration.

RTINGS identifies high-bandwidth DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and up to 98W power delivery, plus a small USB hub. That USB-C charging figure is a reported maximum; actual charging depends on the connected device and setup.

Reported burn-in mitigation features include active cooling, a Thermal Modulation System, Logo & Taskbar Detection and a Screen Saver setting. These are precautions, not a guarantee against burn-in. OLED risk remains relevant if the same static interface stays visible for long periods.

Price and availability context
ComputerBase reported a German launch price of €1,099 for the 32-inch S32HG802S, with expected delivery from June 5, 2026. That is historical launch information for Germany, not a current price or availability quote. RTINGS’ review changelog says it was updated October 5, 2026; its listing includes a US offer for LS32HG802SNXZA, but a live price or inventory is not established here.
Who should buy the Samsung G80SH?
- It is a strong candidate if you want 4K at up to 240Hz, OLED contrast and rapid response, and prefer a matte surface for reflection handling.
- Think carefully if your room is bright and preserving dark-looking blacks matters, if changing frame rates in dark games would bother you, or if you spend hours reading small text.
- Consider another workflow fit if you need a KVM switch for multiple computers; the compared ASUS model includes one, while the Samsung does not.
- Account for OLED use if your work keeps static interface elements on screen for long periods. The monitor has mitigation features, but burn-in risk is not eliminated.
Overall, the G80SH’s clearest strength is high-refresh 4K gaming with OLED picture characteristics and better reflection handling than the glossy comparison model. The central compromise is that matte treatment cannot prevent bright-room QD-OLED blacks from looking purple, and the speed and connectivity do not make its OLED-specific limitations disappear.
