Samsung Care+
Samsung Care+ standard coverage includes unlimited accidental-damage repairs and mechanical breakdown, according to Samsung’s US plan page. Samsung advertises $29 same-day cracked-screen and back-glass repair for eligible devices in select areas. Availability depends on location, approval timing, parts, technician availability and device eligibility, so same-day service is not guaranteed.

Standard Care+ is not the same as insurance that covers a lost or stolen phone. Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss adds that protection. For an approved theft-or-loss claim, Samsung lists a $99–$199 deductible depending on device, and a maximum of three lost, stolen or unrecoverable claims in any consecutive 12-month period. How to decide for your Galaxy
- Match the coverage. Compare Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss against a carrier plan that includes loss and theft. If you are comparing standard Care+, focus on accidental damage and mechanical breakdown instead; do not treat it as equivalent to a theft-protection plan.
- Get the quote for your exact phone and state. Check the model’s premium, deductible or service fee for the claim you are most concerned about, any claim caps, exclusions and replacement terms. State rules and plan versions can differ.
- Calculate the ownership-period cost. Multiply the monthly premium by the number of months you expect to keep the phone, then add the fee for a plausible claim. Compare matching scenarios—for example, loss with loss, or screen damage with screen damage—rather than comparing a premium alone.
- Check how claims are handled. Samsung emphasizes authorized Samsung repair. Carrier plans may arrange repair, replacement, delivery or setup, subject to approval and local availability. Consider which service route you would rather use and whether it is available where you live.
- Look at your household’s other devices. A carrier multi-device plan may make sense if you need to cover several eligible devices on one account. Samsung Care+ is directly tied to eligible Samsung devices and Samsung’s repair channel; a bundle’s value depends on which devices it actually covers.
Enrollment timing matters
Samsung’s Care+ FAQ describes enrollment at purchase or within 60 days, while Samsung’s currently indexed plan page also describes an eligibility path within one year, with restrictions including New York. Do not assume either deadline applies to every device or state: verify eligibility for your Galaxy, purchase date and location before relying on coverage. Carrier enrollment windows are also plan-specific, so confirm them before adding protection.
