SafePay Claims It Breached Deutsche Telekom IT Arm T-Systems; Claim Unconfirmed

SafePay has listed T-Systems on its ransomware leak site, but the listing is an attacker’s claim—not proof that the company was breached. Cybernews reported the allegation on October 7, 2026, and said the group gave T-Systems two days to negotiate. The available reporting does not establish whether an intrusion occurred or whether any data was exposed.

What SafePay claimed

Cybernews reported that the SafePay ransomware operation listed T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, on its extortion leak site. The report described a two-day negotiation window. Separately, Invaders Cybersecurity’s tracker records a SafePay claim for t-systems.com dated October 6, 2026. These reports establish that the group made a claim; they do not independently verify a compromise.

Cybernews’s October 7 report said the allegation was unconfirmed and that it had requested comment from T-Systems. The available material does not establish whether the company responded or whether the listing later changed.

Has T-Systems confirmed a breach?

No confirmation or denial is established in the available reporting. The sources also do not show whether T-Systems or Deutsche Telekom investigated this particular claim. Deutsche Telekom says its CERT manages security incidents across the group’s information and network technologies, but that general description does not connect the CERT to the SafePay allegation.

What data was stolen, and were services affected?

Neither the existence nor the contents of stolen files are established. The available sources do not identify affected systems, subsidiaries, customers, data types, or data volume. They also do not establish encryption, service disruption, a ransom amount or terms, or any impact on customers or operations. A leak-site listing alone cannot answer those questions.

How to read the tracker’s figures

Invaders Cybersecurity’s SafePay tracker, updated October 6, 2026, records leak-site claims and reports aggregate claim counts. Those figures are the tracker’s observations of claims, not counts of confirmed breaches, so they should not be treated as verified victim totals.

For now, the meaningful distinction is between the group’s allegation and independently established facts. Confirmation from the company or a regulator, validated evidence of access or theft, and details about affected people or services would each add information that a leak-site listing does not provide.
