Ryan Reynolds’ action thriller Mayday reportedly fell from No. 1 to No. 3 on Apple TV’s U.S. movie chart by October 5, 2026, after spending about a month at the top. That is the “end of an era” described in the report: a change in chart position, not an announcement that the film is leaving Apple TV or that a franchise is ending.
What happened to Mayday on Apple TV?
A syndicated ScreenRant report published October 5, 2026 said Mayday had slipped to No. 3 among movies on Apple TV in the United States. The report said the film had held the No. 1 spot for about a month following its September 4, 2026 release.

Does the chart drop mean Mayday is leaving Apple TV?
No such removal was reported. The article describes a lower chart position; it does not say Mayday was removed from Apple TV, is scheduled to leave, or has been canceled. A film can move down a popularity chart without leaving a service.
The report identifies Apple TV as the film’s release platform, but it does not establish present availability in every country or region. Check Apple TV in your location for current access.
What is Mayday about?
Mayday is a 110-minute action thriller, according to the ScreenRant report. Reynolds plays a U.S. Navy pilot sent on a top-secret Cold War mission who becomes trapped behind enemy lines and joins forces with an eccentric former KGB agent, played by Kenneth Branagh.
