RX 9060 XT 16GB vs. RTX 5060 Ti 16GB: Which Should You Choose?

For a value-focused gaming PC, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is the stronger pick when it costs meaningfully less. Choose the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB if its results in the games you play, its ray-tracing performance, or software features you rely on are worth the extra local cost. Both cards have 16 GB of memory; neither is the universal winner across games, settings, and prices.

What separates these 16 GB graphics cards?

The main decision is not memory capacity: these exact variants each have 16 GB of video memory. Both product families also include 8 GB versions, so confirm the capacity in the full product name before comparing prices or buying. An 8 GB listing is not an equivalent alternative for this comparison.

Instead, weigh the price of the exact cards available to you against performance in your games, ray tracing, software support, power needs, and whether the particular model fits your PC.

How do they compare in gaming performance?

In ComputerBase’s June 2025 comparison, the RX 9060 XT 16GB trailed the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB in the tested averages. The gap was generally under 10% and often under 5%; that is a result from that review’s test suite, not a guarantee for every game or system. See ComputerBase’s comparison and test conditions.

#1 Best Overall
XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Gaming Edition with 16GB GDDR6 HDMI 2xDP, RDNA 4 RX-96TSW16BQ, Graphics Card, Compatible with Desktop PCs
  • Chipset: AMD RX 9060 XT
  • Memory: 16 GB GDDR6
  • XFX SWFT Dual Fan Cooling Solution
  • Boost Clock Up to 3320 MHz

Individual results can differ substantially. GamersNexus reported games in which the RTX 5060 Ti led by 5%, 6%, or more. Resolution, graphics settings, and whether ray tracing is enabled all affect the comparison. Check benchmarks for the games and settings you actually use rather than treating an average as a prediction for every title. Read the RX 9060 XT 16GB review and its game-by-game results.

  • Mostly conventional rendering: Compare results at your target resolution and settings. The RX 9060 XT 16GB remains a credible alternative, particularly if it is cheaper.
  • Ray tracing matters: Look for results in the specific ray-traced games you play. Performance varies by game and settings, so the available evidence does not establish a universal winner.

Is the RTX 5060 Ti worth paying more for?

That depends on the size of the price gap and what you gain in your own use. The historical European launch recommendations were €369 for the RX 9060 XT 16GB and €449 for the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, according to ComputerBase in 2025. Those figures are launch-era reference prices, not current offers or a promise of what either card should cost now. See ComputerBase’s launch-price context.

Current prices vary by country, retailer, stock, and partner-card design. Listings observed by PC Gamer’s price-watch page in 2026 were substantially above launch reference pricing. Compare live local listings for the exact 16 GB models on the day you buy; do not assume that one card is better value based on its launch price. Check PC Gamer’s current price-watch page.

A practical rule: if the RX 9060 XT 16GB is meaningfully cheaper and performs well in your games, it is the value-focused choice. If the RTX 5060 Ti’s game-specific results or software features matter enough to you, the premium may be worthwhile. The evidence here does not establish an exhaustive, current feature-support comparison, so verify upscaling, frame generation, and application compatibility for the software and games you use.

Power use and PC fit

Tom’s Hardware lists specified board power of 160 W for the RX 9060 XT 16GB and 180 W for the RTX 5060 Ti. These are reviewed specifications, not a substitute for checking the particular card and your whole system. See Tom’s Hardware’s power specifications.

Partner cards can differ in size and connections. Before ordering, check the exact model’s length, thickness, power connectors, and manufacturer power-supply recommendation against your case and power supply. Also compare the retailer’s warranty and return terms for the specific listing.
