RHAF2768 is the model number on Russell Hobbs Australia’s product page. This matters because the company sells related 9L dual-basket models in other markets with different model numbers and published power ratings. Specifications for those versions should not be assumed to apply to the Australian appliance.

For the Australian RHAF2768, Russell Hobbs lists 2400W, a 9L total capacity, two 4.5L baskets, nine presets and temperature control up to 200°C. CHOICE lists dimensions of 31 × 44 × 39cm (H × W × D), a weight of 8kg, a 60–200°C temperature range and the same claimed 2400W power. The 9L figure is divided between the baskets; it does not establish the usable cooking area or how much food will fit in a practical single layer. The RHAF2768’s strongest practical case is cooking two components on different schedules without having to plan around one shared cooking time.

Match: use the same settings in both baskets
Match copies the settings selected for basket 1 to basket 2. It is useful when you want to cook the same food, or two foods that can use the same temperature and time. The manual’s description of Match and Sync.
Sync: coordinate different cooking schedules
Sync lets each basket use its own preset or time and temperature, then coordinates the end times. The basket with the longer cooking time starts first; the other begins later so both are scheduled to finish together. This is the feature to weigh most heavily if, for example, you often want two different foods ready for the same meal.

The manual also describes single-basket operation, a delay-cooking option, keep-warm mode and shake reminders on selected presets. These functions add flexibility, but they do not remove the need to check food as it cooks or to leave space for hot air to circulate.

What are the nine presets?
Russell Hobbs lists these programs: chips, steak, fish, vegetables, pizza, chicken, bake, dehydrate and reheat. The manual provides default settings for each. They are starting points, not guaranteed results for every portion size, food shape or starting temperature; the manual allows time and temperature adjustments.

How strong is the independent evidence?
CHOICE lists a 79% Expert Rating for the exact RHAF2768. Its accessible page also gives specifications, but detailed results for foods including frozen chips, chicken wings, crumbed chicken and roast pork, along with cooking performance, ease of use and cleaning, are behind member access. TechRadar’s indexed review concerns the related model 27680, not the Australian RHAF2768. It reports a 75°C front-surface reading in one cooking scenario and comments that the manual offers limited guidance on cooking. How much space and power does it need?
At 31 × 44 × 39cm (H × W × D) and 8kg according to CHOICE, this is a sizeable benchtop appliance. Check the available counter area, including room to access the baskets, before buying. A claimed 9L total capacity may sound generous, but the split baskets and their usable dimensions matter more than the headline volume when deciding whether your usual portions will fit without crowding.

The Australian model is listed at 2400W. Do not substitute figures for related UK products: Russell Hobbs lists model 27680 at 3040W on its UK page, while its Q2 2025 UK catalogue lists model 27680-56 at 2800W. Is it easy to clean?
Russell Hobbs describes the removable baskets and crisping plates as dishwasher-safe, but its Australian product page adds: “Although the basket and crisping plate can be washed in a dishwasher, we advise against it and recommend that they are hand washed.” Follow that hand-washing advice. The page describes the removable crisping plates as PFAS-free; that claim applies to the plates, not necessarily every appliance surface, and does not establish a health outcome. Is the RHAF2768 worth buying?
It is a plausible shortlist option if you will regularly use both baskets for foods with different cooking times or temperatures and value Sync’s coordinated finish. Match is also useful when both baskets can share settings. If you rarely need two cooking zones, compare the footprint and split capacity with a simpler single-basket appliance before deciding. Give priority to usable basket space and independently available food-test results rather than relying on the 9L headline or preset count alone.

Russell Hobbs Australia lists an RRP of A$199.95 and provides a “Where to buy” route. CHOICE displays a $210 price but says it has no current price links for this model; that figure is not a verified live retailer offer.
