Manufacturer speed and energy claims
Russell Hobbs’ 2024 brochure says the RHAF57 can cook up to 82% faster than a standard embedded electric oven when cooking frozen French fries at 200°C. The same brochure claims up to 48% energy savings versus a conventional oven. These are manufacturer comparisons with stated baselines, not universal results or independent tests; they should not be treated as guaranteed savings or cooking times in every kitchen.
Cleaning, safe use and the plate-care mismatch
There is a discrepancy in the official care guidance: the product page calls the removable crisping plate dishwasher-safe, while the manual instructs users to wipe and hand-wash both the plate and basket in warm soapy water. Follow the manual supplied with your unit rather than assuming the basket is dishwasher-safe.
